Ok I am sure this has been chatted up and down somewhere on here but I felt the need to bring it up. I don't need to rehash what happened the first time the boyz played the iggles. Rob's defensive showing was absolutely terrible the first time. Worst overall performance of the year, as far as a whole game is concerned. Now I know we didn't have Lee for that game and some of the "excuses" were pointed there. Here we get to Rex's defensive showing this past week. Healthy squad for the most part minus the Leonard, Revis island in tact, same defensive attick the boyz use. We wonder why JJ is "scared" well in my opinion part of it may be because of this. Rob's statement after the game was there would be "adjustments" next time around, everyone knows those two chat share ideas..blah blah blah....JJ sat there and watched twin brother Rex have the same result as Rob's first go around. The more I think about this game the more I get "scared". If the gnats lose it not only gives the boyz incentive but the iggles extra incentive as well. If the gnats lose it all but assures the iggles have no chance, maybe they play with less incentive but I doubt it watching the last two weeks. I would love nothing more for this team to come out and destroy the iggles this week but this game is just not shaping up to that in my opinon. As much as I hate to say it I am not that confidence in the defensive approach based on the above "minor league" analysis. I hope that I am wrong I hope Christmas eve we are all happy and warm inside. I hope Rob is true to his word and will bring a different approach this time around cause brother Rex brought the same approach and got taken to the cleaners.

If Rob's defense gets lit up again, I think we have to start talking about a new DC for next year. This is a "second chance" game for Rob to show exactly what he can do as DC. If he gets schooled by Andy Reid again, then maybe he is not the DC we all think he is.

I agree and the point I am trying to make is this is really his "third" game based on Rex. I know in actuality it is not but their def is a mirror image. Based on that I'm not putting any Washington's down for them this week.

Yea, good point about the Jets playing the same style of defense. I just hope the brothers compared notes and figured out why neither one of them had a freaking clue as to how to stop Vick.

If Vick puts a 40 burger on us, Rob is going to get eaten alive by fans and the media.

Somewhere Wade is smiling.

Wade might consider how many times he got "lit up" while he was here before he gets to smiley...

Or maybe the talent on defense isn't what you think it is.

No we don't. The talent on defense simply isn't very good. Until upgrades are made it doesn't matter who the DC is the defense will continue to struggle.

I would hope that the complete smackdown in the last game works to our advantage. This team, and the defense especially, should be so singularly focused on getting some payback. I expect to see this team come out sharp and playing hard...I also expect the coaches to put together an outstanding gameplan. If not it will only confirm that the talent level and coaching on this team is average at best. I hope for the former, but (based on recent history) expect the latter. I wish I could feel confident in this game (or the giants game for that matter), but I am like JJ, I am scared of these two games.

Can the Jets (who have been to the AFC Championship game the last 2 seasons) use that excuse as well?

They only got a 40 burger dropped on them.

Defense sucked, but let's not forget how stellar our offense was in that game and the Cards game. We didn't exactly pull out the greatest show on turf that day.

IOW, we need to worry about OFFENSE & defense.

Quite true .. but its easier to blame the one rather than the many :D

#reality

The offense can and should win the game.

We're at home, no reason we can't win 35-28.

Why don't we just realize that Rob is a 'plant'... sent by Buddy to secretly ruin the Cowboys' success for a while longer?? :D
