I don't see Jerry trading up for a CB with Pacman on the horizon. Don't see him trading up for a WR in this draft.

Just BS.

Looks to me this is possibly true about Jerry seeing how far he could trade up with the two first round picks, but Rang is just leaping to conclusions about the other positions. I would think Jerry is just covering his bases if McFadden drops and doubt he is interested in paying that price for the other two. I do wonder how high they have some of the guys like Mendenhall, DRC, or McKelvin.

Rob Rang? I talked to him the other day on Fox Sports. He said that he did not believe for a second that BP would take Long. He was conviced it would be Gholston or Ryan, and it may end up being Gholston. The point I was trying to make to him was that if BP can't trade down, then it's about safe with him. He won't cripple his team financially by risking too much on that first pick, which is why he won't take a QB IMO. I told him that Miami only has 7 OLs signed right now and that they need Tackles in the worst way. I tried to tell him that they have Roth and Taylor, who could play OLB so they are not forced to take Gholston. Nice player, for sure, but they don't have to take Gholston. Told him that BP loves smart tough players who don't make mistakes and Long was that for sure. He said, nope, BP never takes OLs high. I tried to tell him that this was not true. That BP had in fact drafted Bill Roberts, Eric Moore and Randy Thomas in the first round but he cut me off and went on to say that Parcells doesn't draft OLs high but instead, develops them with low picks.

OK.

Good points. Also the guaranteed $$ for a franchise OT is more in line for the first pick than it is for a FA DE/OLB.

If we trade up and do that I will lock Larry Lacewell out of Valley Ranch for life.

Terrible thought - we can likely get both on clock where we draft. Or candidly would pass on both where we are in 1 if on board......

Look on the bright side-at least we don't have Andy Reid and his men-crush on linemen in the draft year after year running our FO. Now THIS has driven Eagles fans BONKERS.

I agree 1000%.

We need both those first rounders. It's not just about this year. We need to build the foundation for several more challenges to the SB.

I doubt Dallas even goes WR in the first round. Let alone giving up both 1s for a WR.

I wouldn't be too upset with trading both 1sts for McKelvin. We don't have that many holes to fill, so probably only a couple of our draft picks are going to make the final roster anyway. If we did that, I would hope to get a RB in the 2nd round, though.

Everyone wanted to trade our picks to move up last year because We don't have that many holes to fill, so probably only a couple of our draft picks are going to make the final roster anyway.
How many rookies made the team?
I say trade both first but trade DOWN change the 2 #1's for 2 #2's a 1st next year and a high 3rd with the WR falling and the riches at RB and CB you can still end up with a F. Jones/Johnson/Charles, Flowers/Cason/Porter, Kelly/Manningham/Monk draft with your 3 2nd's.
Have an extra 3rd this year and 1st next year.

If the Cowboys give up both first rounders, they had better get more than Leodis McKelvin or Devin Thomas in return.

I am with you man. That is absurd.
