Somebody probably updated it today, because it says he was hired on January 15th. Wikipedia has mods that will correct it if it's incorrect, but it probably will be true by tomorrow anyway. :laugh1:

His name is "Remus"?! :lmao2:

So after a bad game the players can say "Man, I bet Coach is is gonna Remus a new..."

Sounds like a name from The Dukes of Hazzard or something.

Big, loud guy named Remus who looks like he's never met a BBQ he didn't like.....he'll fit in just fine in Texas. :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remus

"Romulus and Remus are Rome's twin founders in its traditional foundation myth."

He's most likely named Remus after that fact, because he's a twin.

It's already been edited to former Cleveland Browns Defensive Coordinator.

Say what you want about the fact that anybody can edit things, Wikipedia makes corrections fast.

Rob Ryan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Remus "Rob" Ryan (born December 13, 1962 in Ardmore, Oklahoma) is a defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboy of the National Football League. He is the son of former defensive coordinator and head coach Buddy Ryan and the twin brother of current head coach of the New York Jets, Rex Ryan.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Wikipedia has it, it must be true
:laugh2:

Is Rex's real name Romulus??

That Buddy has one hell of an ego if so.

No. Rex's real name is Rex.

That is where Buddy failed.

I think you'd have to know a little more about the fable to understand why naming your twins Romulus and Remus is a bad idea. :D

Well I meant he failed in not going all the way and naming Rex Romulus. He only went halfway in his intent.

I think the whole Romulus/Remus naming idea is a bad idea, though. Obviously.

Wikipedia is about as credible as theogt's player evaluations.

youd be surprised how fast wikipedia corrects anything that is invalid.

Anybody who thinks Wikipedia is just littered with false information that goes uncorrected hasn't spent much time on wikipedia. I know a lot of people who have that perception, and to a man, they're all just uninformed.

They correct misinformation very quickly, especially on anything that is of any significance and requires citation.

There's a reason universities don't allow you to cite Wikipedia as a source.

When I taught at Texas Tech, we had another TA who assigned a brief 1 page report on the lab they were going to do the next day. He told them not to use Wikipedia as a reference and instead use our library's web site to find the journal article on this particular experiment. That night, the TA edited the appropriate Wikipedia page with a lot of wrong information. Sure enough, most of the students in the lab had an error-filled report.

Kind of funny I think.
