Dallas has alot of pieces. They need a bigger DE opposite Ware to deal with the running game. Ratliff, Lissemore and Hatcher inside. Carter Lee and Sims LBers. They wouldnt need to change much. Basically a DE short of a 4-3

Unless you plan to play ware as a stand up DE he isn't an every down DE. The only time he plays 3 point now is on passing downs. Playing the run is significantly different from 2 to 3 point stances

I like Nolan for a 3-4 if they stay with it. Fangio's defenses are fundamentally sound and tackle amongst the best. I think Nolan interviewed for an HC job somewhere.

I'm indifferent to this move. My hope was this was a Garrett move and not a Jones move. Important that this was a HC decision but that rarely happens in Dallas.

With that said, I think Ryan's bluster got old I'm sure in year one. He was lining up short handed this year but the defense had trouble even slowing anybody down let alone stopping anyone. Plus, as I believe Hos mentioned getting the right personnel on the field was a problem his entire tenure. That's basic coaching 101.

Would love to see Ray Horton get a shot. Lebeau disciple and did a good job with Arizona's D in his first shot as a DC.
