Bull****. Yes, Garret should have been the first one gone. 2nd thing, I don't need a Jones and Jason lover telling me to get over it like you did. I am sick of Jones, and his tool fans. He has turned this franchise into an embarrassment. Do you realize since our last Super Bowl the Raiders, Falcons, and Bears have been there? Does that shame you enough? I'm guessing no. I try to be as posotive as i can during the season, but crap like this has me pissed. What pisses me off even more is when supposed fans come out in support of the status quo. Those 90's SB wins weren't because of Jerry. They belonged to Jimmy. This franchise was great before Jerry ever appeared on the scene. I became a fan and started watching in the 77 season when we got Dorsett as a rookie, but beat the Broncos in the SB. We lost the next year to the stillers. Years went by before we reached our next, and it was glorious. Not so much beating the bills in the SB, but smacking the whiner fans in the process. It was pent up rage finally being released upon the whiner tards and their catch. That was Jimmy. Not jerry. The glory of the Cowboys has nothing to do with Jerry. The mediocrity and commercial success is Jerry's legacy. The stupidity of jerry not knowing where to start cutting people shows once again. Garret failed this team. Garret does not know what the hell he is doing. Who does jones go after? Ryan of course who did a pretty good job with that banged up crew. Makes perfect sense in Jerry Jones World. Yes, i am mad. And don't ever try to make being loyal to jerry a measure if you are a cowboy fan. I really hope i am wrong and that isn't what you were doing.

Haha not going to bother reading. You just said you weren't a fan. But as soon as he gets fired. Outrage!

I dont follow college football close enough to be able to answer this..but I know some of you fine folks do.

Isnt there a real respected, young, defensive mind, coaching at a major college that isnt ready to make the jump to NFL head coach, but has all the makings of a great NFL def coord?

Rob Ryan got the bad news from Jason Garrett while on vacation in Turks and Caicos. Uncomfortable? "I'm comfortably numb," he said.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Ryan’s defense allowed 40.1 percent conversion on third downs this year, 39.7 last year. Ranked 23rd and 22nd. What HC/OC likes that?

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota
RT @hatcher97 It was a privilege to play under Coach Rob Ryan! One of the greatest. Sad day. I'm hurting right now.

Jean-Jacques Taylor ‏@JJT_ESPNDallas
Y'all tripping over Rob. He was average at best in 2 years. Great guy, but team forced no turnovers & pressured QBs inconsistently

yet garretts red zone offense has been ranked 19,20,18 3 out the last 4 years. What nfl HC/owner likes that?

You keep being a Jerry fan. I will always be a Cowboys fan.

Why Ryan was fired:

The Cowboys had the NFC East locked up when they went ahead of Washington 7-0 in the 2nd quarter - if Ryan's defense hadn't choked by giving away 7 points or more for the remaining 2 1/2 quarters, we would have been in the playoffs :)

Lets go Cherry pick moment where Garrett blew 1 games. Or 6.

So now you switched to this team D-Line now. Didn't you want all of Jerry's resources spent on the O-line? When did you change your tune?

I didn't. I've been saying we lose the battle at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. You can't win that way. I just happen to prioritize the OL over the DL with this team. It's in even worse shape and our franchise QB isn't getting any younger.

I have no sympathy for anyone on the chopping block. The theme is to get better. Don't think Garrett won't be on the hot seat now, even if he does stay.

Fans are ticked off, fans won't be showing up, and Jerry is simply letting the bodies hit the floor. Everyone should be on eggshells, well except Jerry the GM.

Our best down lineman is Hatcher and that's sad. I didn't mention Ratliff because he is never on the field.

Well like I said before, Our DC did so much more with what he had than our OC did with what he had.

How, by not being 32nd?

I guess that counts for something.

Haha okay you do that. My bad for supporting the Cowboys. Go back to your uninterrupted bashing.

Who is going to tell Red to throw the challenge flag now when his head is buried in his Dennys menu?

It's pretty Orwellian when bashing the team is considered "support" isn't it?

Poor franchise, we might be stuck with this guy one more year.

Could the Cowboys look to the college ranks for a coordinator? Garrett worked with Todd Grantham, Georgia’s defensive coordinator when Grantham coached the Cowboys defensive line under Wade Phillips. Grantham has an attacking style and has a defense that is filled with NFL-ready players. Given his SEC ties, he could provide some good insight on players in the draft. He also has NFL coordinator experience (Cleveland) and, like Garrett, worked for Nick Saban.

this is actually intriguing
