of you after this season would like to see Rob Ryan become Assistant HC with a HC Salary just to keep him here ?

Count me in......do with him what they did with the red headed genius

Jimmy Robinson is the Assistant HC.

Pretty much, you screw yourself if you try to take away a title like that. No one will ever trust you again.

Hell, after last night, I'd pay him more than JG and give him the secret wink-wink that conveys he's my new #1 so long as Jason continues to produce #2s (especially in the red zone). ;)

me too. he has his unit playing and he is using alot of players. Heck I even seen the rookie undrafted FA albright out there.

At all cost you try to keep Ryan here, but he's bound for a Head Coaching gig for sure.

it doesn't make any sense how our offense look so unorganized while our defense is in mid season form. Well so far.

Garrett needs to get the guy better prepared. Maybe he needs to hire a OC (in title only) to help him since he is now the head coach. The offense struggled alot yesterday. Alot of bad snaps, WR not knowing the routes or running the right routes (or does that fall on the WR coach? idk). We need to fix that asap.

yeah I think he ends up in miami next year. Sparano will come back to dallas as the Oline coach/ running game coordinator (if he doesn't go to college).

If it came down to it Robinson can kick rocks to keep Rob Ryan around and he would be making head coaching money +some if it was my call. Lov this Garrett/Ryan teaming. Robinson coaches this same ******* WRs that had no idea where to even line up last night right?

Stop assuming Ryan's going to head for the hills after 1 season. He might like winning and not want to take over a program like Kansas City.

Labeling him with the AHC tag accomplishes nothing. Teams can still take him. If you are asking me would I rather have him or Red, I'm taking Red every day of the week.

I bet he would if he knew he was getting Andrew Luck.

True. Wish people would get this...

And of course he's going to take a head coaching job ASAP. He already said that's what he aspires to.

I'll take Rob. Team has swagger for once atleast the D and he's making a great D out a bunch of losers outside of a couple players.

To keep him all we really need to do is make the final 4. Teams don't wait to hire coaches from the final 4 teams. They get on with business.

Well the season is 3 games old at this point. Not much data.

That said, I assume Rob will generate the same DC success his brother & dad have and that will result in HC offers. I'll suppose again that the relative success his family has had as HC's will follow him as well.

All those qualifiers to say this. I think the Wade/Garrett situation has revealed a dynamic often overlooked. The HC, and the climate he sets, can either help or hinder the coordinators and paint a false picture. Maybe part of why some successful coordinators fail as HC's.

Rob will probably succeed at both, DC, then HC. But its early.

He do it in a heartbeat, or a flutter, but he'd do it nonetheless.

noooooooo wayyyyyyyy. Rob all day.

Kinda silly to think about future assistant coaches in week three when you're leading your division.
