They signed Curry so he came expendable.

Think about that for a second........Philly upgrade from Curry to Bennett, Bucs upgraded from Ayers to Curry. Will Ayers be an upgrade for us ......hmmmm not sure.

I don't see what he would do honestly.

I rarely use the "progress stopper" notion to dismiss a player, but he pretty much would be.

He was a decent rotational guy in 2016, didn't do much last year. Getting up there in age. Don't really think he is much better than what we have. I would much rather get one splash player than a bunch of guys that might help or might suck. We have experimented enough with the Nolan Carroll's of the world.

Unfortunately, the “splash” FAs Jerry likes to sign always seem to come with baggage (Pacman, RoMac, Greg Hardy, etc).

We are transitioning over to a very young defense via the draft solely. I don't see us signing anyone up front. We might have to sign a cheap vet for the LB depth though. That unit is woefully thin.

I dont think he would start. If anything he would replace Mayowa.

That being said, they could do a lot better amd he may even be a downgrade from Mayowa at this point
