NT Robert Calloway got his first ever playing time in the NFL against the Bengals.

He looked like a player with the physical ability to do the job but one that needs a lot more snaps before becoming a significant contributor.

He is big (6-4, 333) and quick. He appears much much quicker off the snap than Spears. He was able to push the OLineman into the backfield on a few snaps.

The game didn't look to big for him. He did lose contain on a running play, but otherwise I didn't see any significant problems.

It is a very limited sample size of 10 plays, but so far so good.

Sometimes players come out of nowhere and play well out of the gate because opponents did not prepare for them, or have viewed no film to know how to counter-pay them.

Hopefully Calloway did not show any significant flaws in those plays to show how to beat him bad next time. I'm in favor of giving him snaps as long as he can not compromise the running game.

All I can say is if we are going to run this 3-4 we need some big guys in there at NT and Callaway is a big guy. Ide be lying if I said I could make a proper judgement on him as a player.. Just glad we got a guy with some size to eat up some blocks.
