Robert Carradine dies at 71

This really sucks! Revenge of the Nerds and Lizzie McGuire are his best roles! It is very sad that Robert has battling bipolar disorder for 20 years and took his own life and I remembered reading that Robert tried to crash into a semi truck on purpose to kill himself and his wife but they both lived, now Robert will not have to battle his demons anymore and Keith Carradine is the only living survivor of the brothers and I feel bad for Martha Plimpton who said Robert is everyone's favorite uncle. Rest in peace Robert

Growing old sucks so freaking hard. You grow up watching television and going to movies and listening to the radio. Then you slowly see all these entertainers, who made you laugh and cry and stir your soul leave this earth. They are not family. They are strangers and yet it feels like a tiny piece of you leaves with them.

You get to be with John and David again. Rest in peace, Mr. Carradine.

Great post. This is exactly how I’ve been feeling lately. Watching so many of the entertainers who shaped my childhood grow older or pass away is….rough. It hits in a way that’s hard to put into words.

On one hand, I don’t want to sound ungrateful. I’m privileged to still be here and to keep growing older. On the other hand, it definitely has its downsides.
