Both are on the board and it's our turn to pick... Who are you taking?

I wouldn't hesitate to take Peterson. I wouldn't even consider trade offers. The card with Peterson's name on it would be delivered to the commissioner in record time.

Peterson.

I really like Quinn, but unless you plan to give up on Spencer already, then he's a luxury.

Peterson fits a major need. We'd be all over it.

Im willing to give up on Spencer if we can get another top flight pass rusher.

Robert Quinn, all the way!

First, until I see PP's combine numbers I'm not going to assume he can play CB in the NFL @ 220lbs. That's a lot of weight that has to be able to start, stop, and redirect, and I'm not yet convinced he can do it. The combine agility drills will show it, so I'm reserving judgement until then. After the combine, if he's projected as a CB he'll be gone before #9. And, if PP is there, it's only because the other 8 teams consider him a project S. No way in heck would I choose a project S in the top 10. Just because he's a big CB, doesn't mean he has the smarts and leadership ability to play the S position (who is the quarterback of the secondary). Either way, I'm taking Quinn in a heartbeat.

Quinn. Easy. Or trade down pick up a third rd pick and take Jenkins from Fla if they really want a corner.

Like Quinn's potential as a dominant pass rusher more than Peterson ability to be a bigtime CB. The problem with Quinn is he might be a yr or two away. Out a yr, changing positions. Odds are he wouldnt make an immediate impact.

Peterson is gonna end up at FS fairly early in his career, I feel pretty confident about that. And he might be a tremendous FS. If somebody told me they knew he was Ed Reed in the making, I'd def take him at 9.

Ok, he's Ed Reed in the making. :D

He might be Michael Huff in the making, in which case he'd be a waste of a pick. Especially that early.

He's a boom or bust guy IMO. I've seen too many of his games at LSU where I wondered what some are ewing and awing so much for him.

want to be the one making that decision, but in this particular situation, the " need " becomes an important decisive factor, therefor it has to be Peterson.

I don't see the bust potential that you do but admit there is a chance he will only be above average and not great.

Of course the Ed Reed comment was in jest...nobody knows predraft how these guys will turn out.

Quinn is my home UNC boy so I should want him > PP, but I don't....at least not until much closer scrutiny.

PP (and probably Quinn) will be gone, so this is not a real issue.

Huff has been playing better.

Between the two players though (Quinn and PP), you always take the pass rusher over the cb if you have them valued equally.

Top 10 pick better?

Also I like Peterson but don't like the idea of a 220 pound corner.

Here is the thing. What makes a great safety? Instincts. You can't teach instincts. How can anyone be certain PP will make a great safety?

I take Quinn, trade Spencer to Wade for a second and grab Ahmad Black with the pick, who does have instincts and is a known play making safety.

Quinn is a no brainer. Pass rush makes for better secondary.

He could be a top 3 pick after the combine. He is faster and stronger than may be believed, if his numbers are right. A 4.5 40? Vick would be in deep trouble with him and Ware are on the field. And he set records in the weight room at UNC.

Janoris Jenkins said he's staying in school. Like some of you posted, Quinn, if he checks out well. Of course, I thought Peterson would be the most impactful player, short term.

Unless the CBA is settled between now and the draft, there are no trades.
