Has anyone gotten this game yet? I haven't really played any Guitar Hero, but it's always looked interesting, and you add the drums in and I'm sold.

It's sold out all over the place, so I went to ebay and started bidding. I made a bit of a mistake though. I accidentally won two of the bundles... with the guitar, drums and mic.

So is anyone out there looking for one or want one for their kid for Christmas? I'll sell it for the price I paid. I'm not trying to make a profit, just don't have much use for two of 'em. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

If you already have a copy, what do you think of it?

EDIT: this is for the 360, not PS3.

Overpriced if you ask me. The kids should enjoy it though.

I have it. It's not sold out everywhere, they're all over in the stores. Big pallets of them.

Never played much guitar hero except a couple times in a store. Was gonna get 2, but they didn't have wireless guitars for the 360 at first, and by the time they did 3 wasn't far off, then I found out about RB and waited for it.

I suck, but I've barely played so far. I just watched the bars go by on expert level just to see how it would be and I can't fathom ever getting good enough to do that.

Is it worth it?

I know what you mean about how hard it looks. I've seen some videos on you tube, and I'm thinking, no way will I ever be able to do that. but it looks like the most challenging game I'll have ever had, and I like a good challenge.

Is it worth it? Rockband is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. My friends and I got together the other night for 5 hrs and jammed. It was HELLA fun.

Seriously - everyone who enjoys playing games w/ other people should get this game.

It is a blast.

I play guitar and do vocals. I think we start our tour next month. See you in Cincy.

Yeah I think it's worth it. It's just a fun experience. I haven't gotten to play with anyone else yet since I don't have much time and would like to get to a respectable level of ability before any of that.

It's pretty easy on easy level. I got 95% and 97% on the first 2 songs I tried with the guitar. Didn't do quite as well with the drums though. Tried one song on medium and got 86% but it gets quite a bit more difficult when I have to start using my pinky. Can't imagine hard when they add yet another cord, and expert....yeah, maybe after about 6 months of playing everyday....maybe.

My 10 year old daughter wants this game but I haven't found one around my local area so I guess I'll have to look around the 'net to see if I could get one for the X-Mas.

In Walmarts you might try their "Christmas Store" area, usually where the lawn and garden was. That's where they were in one of my local walmarts.

Cool, thanks for the heads up, I didn't even think about Wal-Mart, I'll give them a try. :)

Got it in today and set it up. I already love it, and I have just played a few songs on easy. I pretty much suck right now.... I hate messing up. The kick pedal on the drums is the toughest part IMO.

On the guitar I've only played with three frets to this point. I can already see what yall are saying about the pinky. Once that gets involved, it's gonna be damn near impossible for me. Y'know, I don't work out that finger too much.

I love the song list though. And I hear the DLC songs are gonna add some great ones.

Got Rock Band on saturday night. We had a small video premier party for my friends snowboard company at my house...after the showing and a couple of beers we broke it out....needless to say, that was a mistake. Too much fun. I had ten people at my house until 7 a.m. impatiently waiting turns to get in on it(need to go get another guitar asap). Hence me not going to work today. :D

I didn't think I was going to be able to get used to it at first, but after a few hours on the drums, I got the hang of it. The guitar is considerably easier.

It's not that hard. The guitar is much easier on Rock Band than Guitar Hero. In our family "band", my 8yr old plays the guitar on Easy/Medium and I play the drums on Hard. My wife does the singing. I think I drum too hard though, since I broke a stick on the second day. Overall, it's a blast.

I was disappointed that the GHIII guitar doesn't work with it on the PS3.

I've already broken my guitar. Apparently -- for those of you who haven't heard -- the Fender Stratocaster is pretty much defective. After about 5 hours of playing, the downstrum started either not registering altogether or registering a double strum which causes you to lose energy. The upstrum still works, but that takes some getting used to.

So I sent in a replacement request to EA. It's currently processing, supposed to be 2-day air delivery. The thing that sucks, besides the fact that the guitar is half useless, is that they put a $125 hold on your account until they get the defective guitar back.

That said, I still love the game. If you want a real challenge, I highly recommend getting the Metallica pack as a download. Those songs are wicked hard. But on Medium with a broken strum bar, they're impossible. I'm gonna need the replacement before I even think about doing those on Medium/Hard.
