I love these stupid things!! People drink coffee, I drink these. It's a terrible habit but I can't seem to shake it. I'm almost convinced they put something in these that gets people addicted. :p

Anyways, anybody else stuck in the purgatory of energy drink hell with me?

Nope, they are all disgusting to me. They don't seem to be healthy either. Give me coke or Mt Dew any day :flagwave:

It really is a tough habit to kick. I think a lot of it is just the motions too. You go into work, crack your drink for the day, and start in on your tasks. Creature of habit I suppose.

I can't stand the normal energy drinks, and they never seem to do anything for me. I do like the 5-hour energy drinks; howver. They don't jazz me up but they do seem to get rid of the afternoon drowsy episodes I get. When I have a long road drip they do wonders for me.

So you don't those unhealthy over-caffeinated, over-sugared drinks... you just drink unhealthy over-caffeinated, over-sugared drinks instead. Got it.

I would bet that they don't do near the same damage to us over those energy drinks. Quite often, the original products turn out to be much safer in the long run :D

Not saying they are healthy either BTW..........

Can they be dangerous for someone with an unknown heart condition yes, but so can too much coffee. I drink 2-3 20oz Red Bulls a day which is in essence 4-6 cups of coffee when it comes to caffeine content. It gets me through the day but as to a stimulant for me not so much. Coffee or a Red Bull I can down a cup or two and go right to bed. The thing many do not know is many energy drinks have warning, like do not use while exercising. Many of the deaths associated to it are unknown pre-existing medical issue or failure to follow warnings

Dieat Mountain Dew is about it for me.

I used to get a Monster Drink if I had a decent drive in front of me and frankly they did seem to keep me awake and alert. However after a period of time you start to come down from it and it seems you are twice as tired as you would have been if you had not drank them in them the first place.

Plus...I think it is better suited for the younger crowd.

So now...Diet Mountain Dew.

Heck I almost only drink Diet drinks (mostly root beer at home). And I will say that if I did not drink Diet (sugar free) drinks...I would probably have diabetes by now as I drink a lot of the beverages.

But my sugar levels are good...if anything I occasionally have low sugar spells and have to eat some candy.

Rare cases I will get a regular drink if a place is out of Diet dew or rootbeer.

Oh...and the occasional Captain Morgan.

I need to go and get me some Kracken and try it.

I like the Capt Morgan black but I have heard the Kracken is pretty good and much cheaper.
