Can't be true. I was told here that is is unathletic and slow.

I'm glad that what I saw seems to match what Marinelli was saying. Charlton's takeoff and athleticism was not bad against the Cardinals, but he had no finish. He didn't use his hands well to counter the OT's movement and didn't really commit to a move to try to beat the OT after his initial push. I would have liked to have seen him push upfield and then use his long arms to rip to the inside or engage and pull the OT so he could go around him. He made it too easy despite his takeoff for the OT to stay between him and the quarterback.

He was thinking too much. I wouldn't mind if he went into the next preseason game with his mind made up to use 3 basic moves, rip, swim, and bullrush. I want to see him play fast against the rams.

OK, now those were encouraging words from someone that knows what it takes to be successful as a defensive lineman. Time to develop his skills could be the cure-all for what has ailed Taco Charlton to this point in time. Whatever comes of it is yet to be told.

He'll be afforded the opportunity to improve. What might happen in the future is purely academic. Anyhow, it's sure to be interesting to see what develops. I'd just rather keep cool and hope for the best, as opposed to lamenting the fact that I'm being forced to wait. How's about you? ;)

Plenty of time and lots of faith in Rod. Tho, this was the season we had brought in a new defensive coord. but we have Rod, so we roll with Rod.

I agree, you not only need to practice techniques you have to trust it.

why the question about the devil music they play at camp by a reporter seems like a strange question to me

Well, he was from The Christian Chronicle.

What exactly does 'devil music' mean, really? One could argue that ALL pop music is devil music because it glorifies/extols virtues that are not bible-friendly.
