FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- You can always count on Roddy White being brutally honest. The Atlanta Falcons receiver always speak his mind.

So when White casually mentioned how the cornerbacks from the New York Giants were in a different class than the ones the Falcons encountered in this past Monday night's 26-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, he obviously wasn't concerned about word trickling back to Byron Maxwell and crew.

"This is a different week, this is a different team," White said of the Giants. "To me, they've got better corners than the guys we played last week. So, it will be different."

White obviously has respect for Giants left cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and right cornerback Prince Amukamara, two talented players who stand 6-foot or taller. The Falcons veteran explained why this Sunday's challenge will be more difficult than Week 1.

DRC and Prince are both very strong CBs. Both are #1 CBs on alot of NFL rosters

I think Philadelphia is to turn #3 CBs into starters

Okay, what the heck happened to the Falcons offense in the second half? In the first half, it looked like the Philly defensive backs were physically incapable of covering either Roddy or Julio. They were just running away from them. How can a passing game that looked like it had physical mismatches across the board get largely shut down in the second half? I know Matt Ryan sucks but that was pitch and catch football out there.

He's not exactly going out on a limb there. It's not close honestly. NYs problem is their CBs are always injured. But very talented.

Drc yes maybe. Prince however may turn out good but I don't see how you can evaluate him much, he has been hurt for the most part since he was drafted.

Maxwell is the new Nnamdi Asomugha.

If the corner is not Revis, you are likely going to way overpay for an average corner on the market. We got burned a bit by Carr but it has been over 3 seasons and I have never seen Carr have a game as bad as Maxwell last week. I obviously don't have the film close to me but the only game that would even be close would be the Lions game with Megatron going for over 200 yards.

I beg to differ. Carr had one of the worst days a CB can have against Calvin Johnson a couple of years ago.

That game did come to mind. I can't remember all of the specifics of that game, I just know Maxwell just looked awful. He looked slow and he wasn't physical. Julio is a great player but sometimes he has struggles against bigger, more physical cornerbacks.

I think our O line has a lot to do with making a defensive front look like they are doing nothing.

The DL NYG trotted out was nothing more than a run stuffing front. There were not any "true" pass rushers. There best pass rusher was jenkins and Tyron made him look like more like a JAG than he is at this point in his career.
