I don't see how you can improve the pro-bowl game. There is just too much risk for the players to go 100% in an exhibition game. Maybe it shouldn't be judged as a game and looked at as only an event. Not that I know of too many people who take it seriously to begin with.

not sure i agree with you there
rodgers is playing QB in a game where players are basically not allowed to touch the QB
i doubt he feels the same way if he plays RB or WR or LB
getting hit and seriously hurt in a meaningless game would suck

That's a fair point, but Rodgers isn't really the kind of QB who never takes a hit or does all he can do avoid contact. He plays the game with a lot of reckless abandon - a lot like Romo imo - and that leads to him taking some hits when he scrambles.

Though I won't compare that to say a lineman, I think it's still a fair critique of guys not having enough pride to want to win, regardless of the consequences, or lack thereof

i just think that the probowl is just a different animal

most of the players there are the best in an elite group (NFL) and have played hard all year to get there so it is tough to say, they have no pride

i think they just go into that game knowing it is a show and a formality and are trying not to get hurt

I just think that, regardless of whether or not the game is for show or for dough, if you're a defensive player and you give up 59, you should be embarrassed...especially if you're considered an all star.
