I hope I am wrong, but it would almost seem certain that he is not going to make the team based on numbers, draft and experience.

Based on his play, I think that the Dolphins (given that Sparano, Parcells and Ireland have a good idea of his abilities ) will pick him up.

Do you believe some team will pick him?

Why would they need Hannah when they have Fasano? They should be set at TE.

I think the cowboys will try to showcase him again, the last 2 preseason games, then try to trade him;

its like jerry jones said earlier, alot of teams know that miami dolphins have the first rights to pickup players, so they other teams would be more interested in trading for Hannah, personally, I like Hannah, but there is no way he will clear waivers.

I think Hannah is a year away from really contributing, so we need to hang loose to keep him, he has more potential then curtis the other te.

I agree the Dolphins will probably pick him up along with either Oglesby or Ball if one of them doesn't make the cut.

I could be wrong, but I think that Rodney Hannah showed a lot of athletic ability (even more so considering he small amount of time that he as played football) and ability to catch the ball, whereas it seems Fasano is more of a blocking tight end.

For me, this makes the drafting of Bennet in the second round all the more perplexing.

Not only did I feel that Curtis was doing well enough to be this team's #2 TE, I thought the team had a good developmental prospect in Hannah.

Wouldn't it been better to have not drafted Bennett and instead developed Hannah?

The dude is an athlete. He's 6'8 with a 38 inch vertical.

We've been trying to develop him for 2 or 3 years and he hasn't made it past PS level.

Ummm, you are a certified dumas (i know the spelling)

He's been in the league one year, on the ps, and shown a lot of promise in that year for someone who played very little football

Sorry but I just don't see the use of worrying about the 78 or 80's player on the team. If he gets cut and catches on somewhere else great for him but I prefer to worry about players 45-53 that can actually make the team.

What about moves that result in wasted or unnecessary draft picks?

How do you feel about those?

Example?

Let me guess Bennett?

Yeah.

Potentially.

Let's just say that while other TE's have performed - and with a good attitude - Bennett has not.

Not closing the book, but the results thus far have been underwhelming, which makes the pick look more unnecessary.

Hannah made the squad, which is close enough for me-- I guess you didn't care about Romo his first year either?

I'll reserve judgement on the Bennett trade until he at least makes it through training camp. If the coaches and Jerry had seen the potential in the guys we had on the roster the wouldn't have drafted Bennett. The only one we knew anything about was Curtis and he still has a long way to go.

I'll admit I didn't think much of him at first but I'm happy to say he proved me wrong.

Yet Curtis is still the #2 TE while the second round draft pick is making bad plays and bad impressions, and the practice squad guy looks like a player too.

Unfortunately, the team now has no roster space for Hannah because the used a 2nd round pick on a player they didn't need and an attitude they didn't want.

I reserved judgement when I felt they made a mistake in drafting Fasano.

I was right and they were wrong on that one, so I have less patience when it looks to me like they did the same thing twice.

I didn't agree with using this year's 2nd round pick on a TE and none of the recent events have done a thing to change my mind on the subject.

You have your opinion and I have mine. We'll see when the final roster is announced. IMO we needed a TE and we got the best te and athlete available. Only time will tell.
