Roger Clemens was in town last night and came out of his 9 year retirement last night and pitched 3 innings. As if that weren't awesome enough, his son was the catcher.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Thousands of people packed Lawrence-Dumont Stadium Wednesday night to witness one of baseball’s best players in action.

At the edge of their seats, a sold out crowd roared in anticipation for Roger Clemens to take the mound at the NBC World Series.

“I don’t know who organized it, but they did a good job doing it,” said Michael Vaughters.

“It’s a dream come true,” said Jason Platter.

Clemens, along with a group of other former MLB players, is on the Kansas Stars team. The team is playing in the NBC World Series tournament in Wichita.

“I never got a chance to go to a pro-game, never got to see him pitch because he retired, so now here in Wichita of all places you get to see him come and play,” Platter said.

Clemens, sporting his Red Sox jersey, pitched to his son Koby for three innings on Wednesday in front of more than 8,000 fans.
