the on field product isnt good....the officiating is one step above "we're making sure Vegas gets paid" and its about entertainment before anything else and everything has to be a spectacle

That about sums it up. The National Football League is a $12 billion in revenue industry (link). The man likely thinks about 12 followed by nine zeroes every time he walks out on the stage during the Draft.

The monotonous decades booing does not likely phase him at all. I really wish people actually attending the draft would try something new to show their disapproval, like turn their backs on him when he is at the microphone. That would certainly make him smile his patented <explicit> smirks on camera, lol.

Goodell is going to be in the HOF someday . He’s guided the league thru some of its most turbulent times . Issues the league has never seen before .

If it wasn’t for some fans criticism of him because of the stricter Personal Conduct Policy he’s ruled over I think more fans would appreciate the amazing balance he’s held between the owners and players while growing league to record revenue as it continues to evolve .

It’s possible Roger could someday even be considered a greater Commissioner than Rozelle. Simply because of the era and issues he steered the league thru while growing its popularity. Once we reflect back it’s going to be staggering how well his leadership set the tone.

If I was an owner there’s not enough we could pay that would protect and represent their interest . And why Goodell’s value is almost immeasurable for 32 Billionaire owners not to mention the sponsors and all financially involved . I’m hope there’s someone he’s grooming to fill his enormous shoes in similar respectful classy fashion.

Yes, not everyone is cut out for that role . He has to wear so many hats pandering to each special interest.

That type of leadership is paramount when balancing the opposing interest of the public opinion while serving the financial interest of the owners and sponsors, etc.

Any missteps can cause detrimental impacts much like holding a public or elected office .
