Goodell was just on NBC with Costas. Costas asked the tough questions, I give him credit for that. Goodell rationalized Wades suspension saying that what he did was illegal. BeliCheat didn't break the law, just the rules.

I can understand his rationale, but I don't agree with it.

The rationale is that breaking the law is worse for the league than cheating. It makes complete sense. The problem is that he's simply wrong. Cheating is worse than what Wade did.

Speeding is illegal. You won't ever see someone suspended for speeding. Being illegal in and of itself is not what makes something detrimental to the league. Goodell just doesn't seem to understand what that phrase means.

That's why I said I don't agree with his rationale. You have to look at what was more detrimental to the league.
