Awesome post. I enjoyed the commercials add much as anything. Commodore 64? Pontiac?

Notice at about the 58-minute mark, Dorsett carries the ball "after getting his bell rung." That's haunting given the issues he's having today.

He retired way too early.

if you had bothered to do any research at all he specifically retired because he was getting more concussions. 20+ years before the NFL and AMA and everyone else started to make noise about it he retired because of it. His last season he had statistically one of the very best years of his entire career.

Those old commercials are great, buddy of mine had a 64..it took 2 hours for a cassette tape to load to play a baseball game.ha

Roger didnt want scrambled eggs for brains so he took the DRs advice and retired. Now he is able to enjoy all the success he has had off the field as well.

So glad this was posted. I watched a good hour of it and it brought back memories of falling in love with football and the Cowboys. This was probably the same year i first started watching football at 7 years old.

Guys like Danny White, Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Everson Walls and Too Tall Jones were my first memories of football. And when you're 7, a guy named Too Tall Jones was like a real life folk legend and hero. I thought he was the tallest and strongest man alive. They don't make nicknames like they used to.

I remember some of those commercials hard to believe that was 32 years ago. Always enjoy seeing the old NFL Today best pregame show ever.
