I love these old stories. Do you remember when Fran Tarkenton asked Roger if it bothered him that he didn't call his own plays? It was on some show, I forget. Roger came back with something to the effect, yeah, I'd love to call my own plays, but why change what works? Maybe if Bud Grant was calling the plays you'd have won something by now. What a comeback on the fly. Are you kidding me?
