Rohan Davey to the Browns might affect draft

I think Romeo Crennel will use a mid-round pick to acquire Rohan Davey from the Pats. The Browns only have QBs Luke Mcnown and Josh Harris (both rookies) on their roster.

Most mock drafts have the Browns drafting Aaron Rogers or Alex Smith, or whomever isn't drafted by the 49ers.

If the Browns get Davey, Crennel might address his defensive unit. They could could go in any direction on the defensive side. They need a CB (just signed Baxter), Dlinemen, LB..........they could draft any position on the defensive side and be justified because the Browns defense check-out 10 games into the 2004 season.

Anyway, If the Browns acquire Rohan Davey I think he can do some damage with his huge arm with Antonio and Winslow at his disposal. He's got Lee Suggs in the backfield.

I saw him play in the preseason (live twice, the same games Romeo saw). He really isn't that good in the NFL.

Also, because Savage is the GM, it's very unlikely.

I agree, but it doesn't look any scarier going into the 2005 when you have a roster with two 2nd year QBs (McNown and Harris) and adding a rookie (either Smith or Rogers) on the QB depth chart.

Davey like Brad Johnson and Jake Delhomme lit up NFLE. Davey has been glued to Tom Brady's hip for 3 seasons. It should come as no surprise that he lit up NFLE after being in the PAtriots organization for 3 seasons. Crennel has 1st hand knowledge of Rohan.

I think a draft day deal or a trade will get done. Davey is a good fit in Cleveland. The Browns could still draft a QB and go with Davey who deserves a chance to start.

That would be a good acquisition. Volek proved he should be given a chance to start with his play last season.
