It has been great to see Rolando McClain playing better these last two games. I have been looking for some comments on his awesome pick six and I cannot find a single interview with him. Is he on some kind of media silence thing or is the media just ignoring him?

Not sure why we can't have both our top linebackers playing well. Goes back to Bruce Carter. Always played better when Sean Lee was out, and when Lee would return would regress.

I don't know, I thought Lee also played pretty good yesterday... I mean it wasn't a splashy game for him like it was for McClain, or like the game he had against the Eagles, but I thought Lee was very solid as usual... It was a good game for the Dallas LB's...

I was about to start a thread on him last night. But it was late, and thought if one not started, I would do it today. But haven't got around to it.
Thanks for starting one.
He looked as if he has got back in shape and played very well. Hope he keeps it up now.

I figured it would take 4 to 6 games for the D to find it's way. But really about 8 to 10 games with the suspensions and then the injuries. Maybe this game was a start. Maybe coincidence with the return of Romo. Playing rested with a lead going into the 4th quarter.

They need to show up even better Thursday, and hopefully Mo is back too. If Gregory gets back to 100%, then we may have our entire D healthy for once. And O back on track too.

It looks like McClain is starting to get his legs and reactions back. It just took a couple of weeks of playing to be on top of all of it. He was a step slow to everything and his legs were looking heavy late in games.

Lee still looks like he is also a step slow in his reads right now. He is usually the first one firing. Also I don't like how they are leaving linemen uncovered and letting them get a clean run at the LB's. A couple of games now, the run blocking for the other team just looks way to easy as far as getting position and reaching the second level. This usually leaves a safety to fill, since they have been playing with 2 LB. They safeties are not reacting quickly enough and getting caught behnd the ball, because they are not used to being that close to the ball and reading those keys. It was interesting that they threw out a 3 LB set against Miami with Gachcar and Hitchens in the mix.

D cant be entirely healthy considering our top CB is on IR.

Was thinking the same last night, and was surprised their wasn't one. Thanks Redline. Ro deserves kudos for his game yesterday.

Sean Lee was on the field on Sunday with McClain. Your statement is invalid.

You noticed that too? It's very frustrating.

But football is the ultimate team game. It's not just about collecting talent. Fit and chemistry play a big part too.

McClain - No TC, offseason surgery, Suspended first 4 games. Little overweight and had to play himself into shape. Feel like last couple weeks he is playing better and looks a little slimmer/faster. It's a good sign.
Not sure what the deal is on the playing with Lee thing is, both McClain and Carter are knuckleheads who concentrate harder when they have to make the line calls as opposed to just letting Lee do it ? No idea. But you would think playing with better talent like Lee would be better not worse - weird ...

If Ro can keep it up the whole defense will get better. When he's on, our D plays so much better.

Lee hasn't been the same since the 1st concussion. The 2nd concussion couldn't have helped.

He may have been cleared to play, however, given what the players know about brain injuries, would anybody be shocked if Lee's multiple concussions have him playing just a hair tentatively?

Eh, why interview McClain when you can waste your time following Hardy around?

The difference between now and the first game when he returned from his last absence is like day and night. He's back to being the force that he was the last year, roaming from sideline to sideline and making big plays. Good to see the REAL RoMac back to doing what he does best -- being a force and ruling the middle with authority.

Ro is an enigma to me... It's great when he shows up and makes big plays, but then there are games when he just disappears. Linebacker is a position about intelligence, toughness, and heart. Ro has the intelligence and toughness, but for me-- the jury is out on whether or not his heart is fully engaged in football.

He's had a rough life and already retired once. Then, add in the substance abuse stuff-- and I think you have a rollercoaster ride with Ro. Up and down-- inconsistent effort and production. Pretty much sums up his time in Dallas.

I can only hope that he's turned the corner and is 100% invested in this team. If he is-- then watch out. When he's on his game-- he's one of the best LBs in the NFL.
