I couldn't figure out why we were lining up tight ends wide when we went down by 2 scores. Then I checked the inactives and there was Devin Smith. So when Cooper went down we had to go with Witten, Schultz and Jarwin. Not exactly the guys you want lining up when you need big chunks of yards and scores.
And that is likely why we decided to start grinding it out with Elliott because we were short handed at WR and had 3 active TEs. The biggest coaching blunder on Sunday was making Smith a healthy scratch with a gimpy Cooper and Cobb already ruled out. They rolled the dice that Cooper wouldn't have a setback and lost the bet.
