Hello cats and kitties.
So Jason has this year and one more I think, at about $4 mil a year that Jerry has to pay even though he fires him this season or next season, somewhere between $7-8 million he is owed at this moment. .. But Tony has $55 million guaranteed.
$8 million vs. $55 million.
Who is the boss?
That's maybe $5-6 million still owed Jason if we fail around November this season ... vs. $50 +/- that Tony is guaranteed or maybe slightly more given that we're almost a season into his contract given that we've already paid him a few million of that ... (Zombies sorry "The Time of the Season" what a great tune..)
I haven't seen a thread here in the last few weeks about this.
Jerry fired Wade even though he owed him about $2 mil or so for the rest of the 2010 season. Not a big deal for Jerry.
If we start the season ugly, Jason will be fired. If we finish out of the playoffs even at 9-7, Jason will be fired. Jerry will eat Jason's $4 mil contract still left, and promote Callahan. It won't be a big deal for Jerry. He's got the college football championship at Jerryworld in Jan. 2015. He doesn't care too much about money. But Jerry does care about the Cowboys being in the playoffs.
If this happens, who would be OC?
That's all I wanted to say.
In the universe of the future, there will be Miller Lite beer piped into our house like city water. And we all will be happy.
