This was 1 huge positive from yesterdays game. It looked like they were on the same page all day.

Can't wait to get Miles back this week and I hope the chemistry with Romo and Dez keeps improving.

If Bailey makes that kick all people are talking about is how clutch Dez was setting up the game winner. He's making a habit of doing that.

Instead he misses it and we can read nonsense like Miles Austin being the best WR on this team.

Don't ya know if Austin had played we would have magically blocked better?

I don't get that sense. Even when I watched Romo and Dez on sideline talking to each other...they look like two strangers trying to chat. I also think they need to give up the deep throw to Dez. Instead Dez should be running more Michael Irvin routes "Bang 8" and let Robinson run fly patterns.

Which reminds me...

How about the clipping penalty on Scandrick there at the end? How huge was that?

Dez was clutch but he also dropped at least 3 balls that hit him square in the hands

a great WR does not do that

he needs to concentrate better

Agree. He had some costly drops as did Robinson. Dallas faced alot of one on one and while we gained yards we never hit the big play on them that could have changed the outcome of the game

You didn't get that sense?

I saw Romo going through his progressions yesterday and he would go to Dez when Dez wasn't even the primary guy but he was where he was supposed to be.

Dez was ballin yesterday. He might've dropped a pass or 2 but he was 1 of our few difference makers yesterday.

he threw to Dez 14 times...so Romo definitely went out of his way to find Dez...but i think that was because Robinson got hurt and left game and Miles wasn't playing. Dez had zero seperation on deep routes but did make few big catches for first down. A guy that I think would have really really flourished with Romo was Terry Glenn.

i disagree with you there

if he will drop that many sitters when he is ballin' that is not good

running good routes, catching the balls that are thrown to you creates trust

Dez needs to create that

His game is not really getting big seperation on deep routes so I don't know why that would surprise you.

I thought he did a really good job yesterday of making himself a target for Romo when need be. I thought Peterson did about as good as he could when Dez was playing like he was yesterday.

in before Dez is to stupid for the NFL and the field ain't so big that he won't accidentally be in the right place every now and then we should trade him for <insert stupid trade> posts

Dez made some good catches but he and Robinson in my view should have had a bigger day. They faced 1 on 1 all day long and yet never could beat their man deep.

LOL @ the "Terry Glen" comment (is he still on the team)? first of all you have to give PP some credit here, he is just as fast if not faster than DB. As you can see he is getting better as the year progresses and I think he will be one of the better corners in the league next year. So instead of coming down on Dez why not give their D some credit as well.

Quick shots -

1) A healthy Miles Austin IS better than Dez - right now, and not by that much. If Dez develops, he has the tools to be a top 5 receiver.

2) Miles is the only receiver likely to be a get-past-them deep threat. Dez isn't that fast - he ain't slow, but he isn't going to beat you with speed, and doesn't yet have the moves to tie up a DB to get past him.

Well you gotta look how they were being used as well.

It was basically run a deep route and if you're QB is in trouble do a comeback.

Our Oline didn't play well yesterday either. Our offensive coordinator wasn't really putting anyone in a position to succeed.

On at least two of those occasions he had the ball forcefully knocked out of his hands. Seems that the Cards found a way to exploit what is usually a strength of his: the ability to snatch a ball with his hands out away from his body.

In any event, I agree with Catch: it looks like Romo is targetting Dez more often. I can only assume that this means Dez is beginning to earn more of his trust.

I agree about the line and I like Dez and Robinson but I think they had chances in one on one and were unable to beat their man deep. Peterson in my view did a good job not allowing Dez to beat him deep. Arz was not going to let Dallas run they put guys up on the line and at times had the safety up as well but our WR did not make the big plays to make the Cards pay for it.
