Uh.....2014.When has Romo ever avoided turnovers? That being said you aren't having 4-5 drives like that every game

here's the deal with all the people that want to put Dak as a better QB than Romo, first off we are all cowboy fans, we all love our QB whoever it may be. Now it is dak's time until it isn't anymore.
Anyway, the bottom line is in order to win an NFL championship you have to have a complete team, football is the ultimate team sport. Romo has not always had that in his tenure as the starter, we were always lacking somewhere, either the defense, or the Oline, the major things that a QB needs to get him over the hump, and some minor things, heck I would even add coaching in there. 2006, we got lucky and made it in, should have blown out the seahawks, but ol fat *** parcells had his out of date playing style that let the seahawks hang around and they lucked up and won. 2007, we found out how hard it is to beat a team 3 times and our Oline was showing signs of it's age.
2009, we got lucky and drew as fat mcnabb and a not so good eagles team and we beat them three times, but the vikings defense showed us that our Oline was old and done, Romo was running for his life every snap. 2014 we were a ref reversal of a catch away from heading to a rematch with the hawks in the conference championship, our defense was proving to be just good enough and we finally got to uusing the right formula for us to win. 2015 was a disaster. Now all those other years was 8-8 years which would not have been if we did not have Romo, and in those years we had bad Olines, no running game, bad defense, no discipline, bad coaching pre Garrett, and some romo mistakes as well has mistakes by other players like RBs, WRs, etc. I am a huge Romo and Dak fan, but I am a Cowboys fan first and foremost, players come and go
Totally agree, I wonder how many fan bases would be having this discussion if they were in the same position? To me it shows how some fans have become used to mediocre play, and lack of team achievements. The last 20 years have been an embarrassment, but how soon we forget. The truth is some of us don't deserve what Dak and this team has accomplished. If only we could have Cassel and Weeden back, so Romo could rush back to save the season.
You are fan that gets it, the cowboys had become a embarrassment, fans of other teams would always just wait for past Dallas teams to do something that would cost them a win. I don't care who was to blame, it's just fact , Dallas had become known as team that shoots itself in the foot. The other thing that was known, was without Romo in the line-up this team could not win, we as fans had very little hope whenever Romo was out. But to see this current team and how it was able to win without Romo and Dez in the line up, made me proud to be cowboy fan. I don't know what you call it, but Dak bought something to this team that it never had before. I don't think his contribution to the teams success can be taken lightly. I guess if that were the case Cassel and Weeden would have had a little more success, remember Dallas was 4-12 last year. Not 8-8, or 7-9, or even 6-10, they were 4-12.The irony here is that the simplicity of our game plans has led to our dominance this year. The way Linnehan designed the offense around Dak... Dak's mobility and how he played off Zeke... Dak's efficiency and the way he protected the football.. Dak has been tremendous this year and I think most of us are glossing over this. Opponents and Cowboys haters were lying in wait all year for us to look like that familiar "accident".. but Dake simply wouldn't give it to them. This has been a different Cowboy team than years past. We missed several key starters at various points and just kept plugging along. Our very WORST game was a three point loss on the road with a chance to still win at the end. I'm so encouraged by this team.
Romo has had 13 years and never threw less then 9 interceptions in a year
Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Eli, Flacco, Rich Gannom, and Bradshaw weren't great QBs. Great teams win super bowls, not great QBs.
Your right. We are the least talented 13-3 team the NFL has ever seen.
The difference is Dak had more potential and more talent coming out the draft than Romo. Not only that Dak is just in his first year, can you imagine when he has a few years under his beltYes, Romo will, based on history, have a higher INT%. But, also based on history, will likely offset much of that with a higher TD% due to the fact that Tony will see opportunities in the passing game that Dak either does not - or maybe is too conservative to attempt the throw.
You can't have it both ways. Romo is a seasoned gunslinger... while Dak is a very promising young talent still trying to learn the ropes.
First want to state why are we as fans constantly discrediting one Qb in favor of the other. It is like saying one of your kids is better than the other. Truth is we have two great QBs on our roster, one a seasoned vet and another is an upcoming rookie. Personally i would have giving the team back to Romo when he was healthy regardless of the record because he is every bit as capable of leading this team as Dak has proven to be, but Romo is at the end of his career and has skin on the wall with this organization. He deserves to get a chance to lead this team to a Super Bowl. IMO. I say all that and still love Dak.The difference is Dak had more potential and more talent coming out the draft than Romo. I'm not discrediting Romo. Besides the team did the right thing. You can't switch QBs when Dak had this team playing at elite level. The team isn't as explosive with McFadden as it is with Zeke. The same can be said about Dunbar and Morris. We are a different team with Zeke and Dak. Romo looked good no doubt in the one drive but who thinks he plays like that the entire game? I don't. Sure Romo and McFadden came in and we scored but we are much better with Dak and Zeke
Dak played the entire season and went 13-2 with 11 straight wins. You say Romo and Zeke puts up more yards and I say Romo throws more then 4 interceptions which limits scoring drives......see how speculating worksDon't slip Dak in there. Zeke, I agree. But we haven't seen Romo and Zeke. Something tells me that duo would put up a sh#t ton of yards.

No worries, Garrett and the Cowboys aren't making any changes right now, and btw, I was right about QBs taking hits like Romo took when we played Seattle in pre season. Just take a look at the Detroit game where Collins sacked Stafford. Just because I'm right doesn't make me a troll.
