The thing I think that's hurting Romo's play is his lack of his signature pump fakes.. remember how years in the past he would do at least 10-15 a game now he doesn't ever do them. Do you guys think the coaches made him stop?

Roethlisberger pump fakes all the time and he's one of the most sacked QBs in the league right now.

...for the sake of keeping your arm moving, as some QBs are want to do, are useless.

A fake has to have completed receptions behind it then defensive players respect it.

It's the same issue as Peyton Mannings constant audibles from a couple of years ago. It became annoying to many and disrespected by some teams.

The Cowboys hung a "L" on Peyton the year this forum was talking about the annoying trait.

I think Romo's fakes have been less exaggerated because he is keeping the ball closer to his body, in an attempt to reduce his fumbles.

I think that might be part of it. Romo doesn't have time to pump fake.

Rarely would a QB have time to take the snap, fake a delayed hand off and then pump fake.

years in the past......what, like a ten year veteran which he's not!!! The problem with Romo is that he's just an undrafted average quarterback that just happen to start his career with a flash, when will you people realize that he's never leading this team to a championship..
