Trent Dilfer, Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, Jalen Hurts just a few of the more recent Superbowl QBs, but it's definitely all the on the QB to make the Superbowl otherwise they're garbage.

3 of the 4 you mentioned were Super Bowl MVPs.

Joe Flacco literally had the best playoff run in NFL history for a QB: 11 TDs, 0 INTS, 1,100 yards in 4 games.

Oh, and his defense gave up over 30 points twice in that playoff run.

I do not know the number of times 'Romo Lover' and 'Dak Hater' might get thrown around in this thread, but it may be epic...

I think it was Romo against Denver one of the best games I’ve seen him play, sadly, we ended up losing. This game against Green Bay kind of reminded me of that. I appreciate both quarterbacks, Romo and Prescott.

Could not get the breaks. Calls, catches, plays, turnovers ..etc. When it counted.

I have always thought this also.

the same people that criticize Romo for being "Hollywood" were the same ones proclaiming that Romo lost the locker room during the great QB controversy of 2016 because he wasn't going out on the town with the boys and just went to practice and home to his family.

one or the other could be true but not both.
Romo's biggest mistake was dating Jessica Simpson for a brief period.

Yeah, it's the life of being a decent QB on a mediocre-built team. Anywhere else, their records are probably better and either might have a championship ring.

For those dead-set against these QBs because of their team's playoff performances, I still maintain that if Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien, Jeff Hofstetler and even Eli Manning can get a ring then Dak and Romo are good enough to have one too on the right team. They were on the wrong team, ones built by Jerry Jones, who has a 30-year track record of failure since Jimmy Johnson helped build our championship teams of the 1990s.

Different styles, different levels of offensive lines, various years of most penalized teams, years of really bad defenses.

I might be wrong but wasnt there a year where no kicker missed a field goal against us almost all season?

Aikman, Staubach, & Morton all lead Dallas to the SB.

Meredith and White got us to multiple championship games.

That's your top 5.

Results matter far more than stats do especially since the rules have changed so much over the decades.

Dak still has a chance to crack the top 5, but it's too late for Romo.

We lost that game 51-48 on a last second FG. I remember it like it was yesterday.

26-36. 506 yards 5 tds.1 int......all in just regulation 4 quarters
