Saw the movie today. Lot of fun. Had no idea Romo was in it. Thought it was great cameo.

Judd Apatow = overrated.

I'm sorry, but yes.
That old boy is writing bouncing checks that fans just love to cash anyways now, no matter the value.

He's a couple big boy bad reviews from turning into M. Night Shyamalan.
Now if only him and Judd would get together to do a serious remake of Rock N Roll Nightmare...
Well then I'd have to say I'd got to the theater for that one.

We live, we live to Rock!

If you're into stand-up comedy (which I am) you would have heard of him. He's no legend or anything like that but he's an excellent comedic writer. Been around a long time. He came up with the Bill Maher/Jerry Seinfeld crew.
Didn't Larry David have something to do with that? I've been drinking so I may be wrong on that...

I think he was saying that Apatow is around the same age as those other guys and was working the comedy clubs around the same time when they were all getting their start.

He just seems to just have such a great eye for comedic talent and an overall sense of what's funny. Despite a couple clunkers over the last few years, he gets a lifetime pass from me for producing (along with Paul Feig) possibly my all-time favorite TV show Freaks and Greeks. That show launched a ridiculous number of careers given that it only lasted one season. And for me, there's been way more funny films than unfunny, and the best of the funny ones have really become classics.

BTW, saw Trainwreck and I loved it; love Amy Schumer and most of the actors in the movie including the sports stars.

You misunderstand. I'm saying he hung out/came up through the comedy clubs with Jerry Seifeld.

Yes. He's excellent behind the scenes. No one really knows/is aware of his many contributions.
