It'll be interesting to see how Dak handles the pressure of Tony breathing down his neck, if in fact Tony becomes his backup. It'll be a great test for him. I don't think the pressure will come from Tony, it'll come from Jerry and the media. First bad or mediocre game could lead to a quick hook.

A healthy Tony Romo will never be Prescott's backup.
I agreed with this when you wrote it, not so sure anymore. I really like Tony, but Dak has been great. I just hope this situation does not become a distraction to the team.

Where's Romo, go get Romo, we need Romo. Romo will soon be completely forgotten. Enjoy the Dak era, there's no going back now!

The O-line has been great.

I think you do more damage to Dak's development by waiting until he struggles, then putting Romo back in. If you let Dak play against the Eagles then "give Romo his job back" against the Browns and going forward, it doesn't put any added negative in Dak's head(of getting "pulled" for poor play). If Romo struggles or the team struggles, it's easier to go back to Dak, and set Romo down.

Well that isnt a good thing, what they need to do is commit to dak as the starter, for the rest of the season, not the future, just this season.
He is the starter, if he plays bad or good, till season is over, and I would say if, but will say when he makes playoffs,
he is the starter no matter what.
then next year let the 2 compete for starting role.

47 more yards passing. Come on man.
i think your point is that we are winning cause we have a great OL, and you are trying to down play Dak's performance this year....but one must remind you that we had the same OL last year and we were 4-12. you argument is weak.

Romo is now officially the back up until he tetires. There is no going back after Green Bay and a 5-1 start. Its Bledsoe-Romo 2. Every player has his time. It's Prescotts team now. Tony must go out to pasture. He will be a decent backup to a real NFL caliber QB. I mean, this Prescott can read a defense and make good, sharp decisions. What a breath of fresh air after all these years of running around aimlessly and guessing!! Good God!! Finally, thats over in Dallas!!

Tell us how you really feel. LOL
As fun as Tony was to watch, he gave me a lot of "what are you doing!" moments. Dak plays within himself, not very flashy but very effective.

No need to bash Tony. The guy gave this franchise his heart, body and soul and got nothing back but crappy offensive lines and defenses. It's unfortunate that his Dallas career will end this way because he's a player who deserved a helluva lot more than what he got.

Cowboys need to name who the starting QB is a s soon as Romo is healthy. If its Dak fine, if its Romo fine...and ride them the rest of the year, that way there is none of this speculation.

That would make the fans happy but it doesn't work with Jerry's need for "ambiguity".
