The good news is that he can practice just fine. The last couple of weeks of healing he will FEEL like he is 100% and could play, you just have to wait for it to show healed.

How do they know for sure? Could another hit when he comes back break it again? Bones and medicine man... I will never understand

Is this a sign that Romo will not sit out the rest of the season? Shocking.

Great news. I'm just wondering if he plays right away. Dallas is at Miami in Romo's first eligible week and play again that Thursday (Thanksgiving). Then they have a longer break than usual; going to Washington on Monday Night, Dec. 7. If the Cowboys can win two of three before Miami, they could give Romo even more time to heal and then try to make the playoffs with him the last five weeks.

Can we just win one game without him? I really think 8-8 will win this division.

If not this week against Seattle, the Cowboys will almost have to beat Philly and Tampa Bay. 4-5 could set Dallas up for a late run with Romo seeing they have two games against the Commanders and other winnable contests against Miami and Buffalo. And with Romo back they have a better chance against the likes of Green Bay and the Jets.

I live in NY, and have been following the Jets (to some extent) for as long as I have been following the Cowboys.

Even with them being 4-2 currently, let's just say that I think we could win that game even without Romo... I think we do well against teams that don't have a good QB, and well... I like our chances against whoever their starting QB will be for our game.

He will come back to play out the string of a lost season.

They could announce tomorrow he's out for the year and as long as it doesn't effect next year, I would not care at all.

Romo could have played the last couple of games in 2010 after breaking his collarbone (much later in the season then), but with the team out of contention, it wasn't worth risking him.

But the Cowboys can still win this division. It's not a lost season. The Cowboys have lost four games. So have the Eagles and Commanders, and the Giants could be at four losses after playing the suddenly hot Saints Sunday. Plus, they are 2-1 in the division and still have the Commanders twice.

I know it very hard to stay optimistic, but there's plenty of time to make a run. Last year the Panthers started 3-8-1 in an awful division. They went on a tear and haven't lost a regular season game since. Why can't a talented Cowboys team that's only getting healthier do the same?
