Well, even with the SF game, he's got a QB rating of 111 this season and a Y/A of 8.5 - that's fairly eyepopping to me.

Calculator I used had him at 115.2 and 8.83 YPA...and 71% completion. That would be #2, #1, and #1 in the league respectively I think.

THIS is why I go crazy with Romers.

Hyperbolic much?

Next, someone will espouse on how much better he is than Aikman or Staubach.

It was a great win, and he did well, but come on.

Then we have the ones who can do nothing but hate on the guy...nuff said on that.
But this can be fun...the reason that I don't want another quarterback is an easy one...I've watch the likes of Manning, Brady, Brees ect, play awesome until they don't have this thing called protection. Then I watch them melt just like any other QB in the league (Romo included). Believe me I'm not saying Romo is better by them by any means...but it is definitely debatable on how good any of those QB's would be under the same conditions that Romo has faced, which is why I made the statement that you singled out and hated on. Also how is my opinion in any way exaggerated? Hyperbolic is a big nice word, but making a statement like this is in no way hyperbolic. Now if I said that Tony Romo is the greatest qb of all time and should take the thrown in heaven as our new God because he is even better than him...that would be hyperbolic. You are welcome for being educated, this session is free of charge.

Deion just said that the problem with Romo is that he lets you down in the big game, and lets see what he does against Philly

TIL leading your team to a win while behind by 4 pts on the road against a divisiom rival in primetime is not a big game.

Humility at its finest.

I'm sure Staubach would too.
Staubach has a really good argument that he was better, when you look at relative statistics (ie, relative to other players during the era). Aikman has no such argument. Super Bowls do not mean anything in individual comparisons.

He had determination on his face on that last drive. And the way the O-line blocked especially on the last play. Awesome!

Not big at all, just another 4th Quarter comeback victory. Nothing to see here, move along.

lol, silly. Aikman would say Danny White was better than him too. That's just Aikman.

Right. Troy's known for being a liar.

Or maybe Romo's actually better and Troy knows it, and is gracious enough to call it like it is.

I don't understand why people hate on Romo so much...maybe because they spend too much time drinking the ESPN kool aid. The dude has more 4th Quarter comebacks than any other QB since I think 2011. I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

I would trade him for Rodgers in a half a second ....... they literally would not be able to finish the sentence before I said yes.

You got it. They both would. That's what hall of famers do.

No it's not, a lot of Hall of Famers are narcissistic jerks - different sport, but Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame speech for a pretty good example.

That being said, Roger and Troy and pretty cool/classy guys, but it's not some sort of default trait that a Hall of Famer has.

Really like Rogers...youth would be the only reason I would take him over Romo right now. I'm a huge Rogers fan, just not sure if there is a QB out there that can go through what Romo has gone through and still find a way to win. I'm so happy this year that we have a line and a running back and some real offensive weapons. I think right now any QB would consider himself lucky to have this type of oline and RB.
