was the field wet?
was he spotted eating some buttery popcorn that TO said to get ready?

i don't remember tony just flat out dropping the ball like i saw on a couple highlights .

other than the int. he threw and that dropped ball at the end of the game, it looks like he had another solid performance..

i'd like to know who is/were the main culprit in the poor o-line play.

adams
gurode
kosier
rivera
colombo

all?

I have read that many QB's can't stand teh balls this year, they are too slick, I tihnk there was an article about that last week.

He was trying to make plays.....which more than the majority of the team was trying to do. Tony and DeMarcus are the only ones who showed any emotion and fire. Even Mickey was saying this after the game.

Quit harping on Romo, he is one of the few who showed up!

Do we need another thread like this?

It's not like he does it every week.

might be that his concentration was broken given the fact that he had a pair of rushers on him by the time he reach his 3rd step back.

Yea, I think its just inexperience. He was getting huge pressure from Detroits fearsome defense and was carrying the football around the way Jeff Garcia totes around his European carry-all. He will learn to carry it higher with time, Im sure Parcells is going to be all over him about that this week.

People make worse excuses for Romo than for TO. Romo Dropped the ball without anyone touching him, plain and simple. He lost the game all by himself with his 3 turnovers.

I agree. This game was an aberration for Romo. Dropping balls without being touched was very Bledsoe-like and I'm not saying that to disrespect Bledsoe. Romo showed Moxie on the 99-yard drive and the last drive where he almost scored on 4th down. If he had and we converted the 2-pointer and went on to win, Romo would've had god-like status for the rest of this week. Like someone said in antoher thread, he looks like a keeper.

that and the fact that he couldn't cover any of those Lion's recievers, or get much of a pass rush on Kitna.

I guess Julius Jones and that great running game of the Cowboys had nutin to do with it.... Make the young QB carry the team. Be cause the OL cant block and the Defense cant pressure the QB or Cover a Detroit Lion WR....

Thanks but no thanks... ROMO busted his but for this team......No one else wants to step up and help

I'm not much of an apologist for ANYONE on this team, but Romo is taking unnecessary blame.

Yea he dropped it with nobody around, but that's flukey.

He made ALOT more plays than he made mistakes, and if it weren't for him we wouldn't have even been in the game.

Someone had the nerve to say he lost the game...that's BS, I guess I must've been confused when I saw this group of guys that I think was a pro defense give up THIRTY-NINE point to the Lions without Kevin Jones.

Everything with Romo is a growing experience...he's learning from every outing, every play, good and bad.

I will say I was most frustrated at his play on the final series of 4 plays with goal to go inside the 10.

He never gave anyone on our team a chance to make a play, not once.

Running on 4th down when an INT wouldn't matter really ticked me off...inexperience again...when he got to 3rd and 4th downs, he should have thrown something to someone on a crossing route or fade, give someone a chance to make a play...we didn't run a single play that had a chance down there...very disappointing to me.

i agree, although i do have to say one thing. I remember a play where Romo rolled out of the pocket and threw the ball away, and i could see Parcells yelling at him to run the ball. When Tony came to the sidelines i could see Parcells saying run the ball. I'm sure Bill told him if you see a lane run.

That could be why he tried to run it on that 4th down play. Again i'm not trying to make an excuse for him, he messed up that 4 down series on the goal line, but that could be a reason.

Romo really had a bad game. Keep in mind that 99 yards came on that one drive where he almost gave the lions a game winning td.

He completed about 3 or 4 good pure throws. He completed a ton of the dinks and dumps. example - Marion Barber on the last drive.

The TD to owens was badly underthrown almost in a bad spot.

Alot of his throws were just horribly inacurate.

I like the crossing routes to TO, but I hate the dinks and dumps. Keep in mind that if Romo hadn't tried to run the clock out at the end of the game to secure the lions win, Barber would have had more catches than TO or Glenn.

Its killing us and our running game.
