Romo for MVP?

Is it too late for Romo to be considered for MVP? The team's turnaround since Romo was promoted clearly points to his value. I know the other guys in the MVP discussion are deserving, but I'm surprised no one has even mentioned Romo as a potential candidate. Roll his productivity back to the first six games of the season and I think he'd have to be one of the front runners.

We would have to win out and win the Super Bowl--if that happens....it WILL happen--mark that down!

I believe MVP voting is turned in prior to the playoffs.

Chances are he will not get the MVP for the regular season but I would love it if he won the SB MVP this year. :laugh2:

no way you can consider Romo with LT's production and leadership this year.

I've said before that Romo is a top-five candidate IMO.

But LaDainian and Brees are the runaway guys.

In some ways, I'd actually take Brees over LaDainian if his TD production sliips at all over the final four weeks. Brees, too, is nearly on pace to break some records. I just think what he's done for a pitiful franchise cannot be overlooked.

You can't go wrong with LaDainian either, though.

I think that LT gets it and deservedly so.

But I'd rather have us win the superbowl....and if anyone gets the MVP, let it be Romo....but I wouldn't complain if it were any player as long as we won. :)

I'm as much of a homer as the next guy but come on LT is simply amazing. Even Michael Irvin would vote for LT and he is the biggest homer alive.

LT won't be a runaway choice because of what Brees has done, but it really all depends on how they each perform in the stretch run here.

It all depends on how the voters view the award. Is it actually Most Valuable Player or Most Outstanding Player.

If the Chargers put in Michael Turner instead of LT, I think Chargers are still a decent team wildcard team. With LT (the most outstanding player), they are Super Bowl bound.

With Brees, he completely turned the Saints around. I don't know if an average QB could do the same as what Brees has done.

I think LT is the best player in the NFL, but I think Brees is the MVP.

This is similar in the NBA. Nash is not the best player in the NBA, but he is one of the most valuable.

Im im sorry, but if LT doenst win MVP, it will be a complete travesty

No one has done more for his team this season then LT. He has single handly brought them back from defeat. (Cinci, Den) He is the reason they are 10-2. And the fact that he does this as a RB makes it even more amazing.

Romo has been great, but he does what you want from a QB. He leads the team

LT has been a absolute beast this year, and if he doesnt get the MVP. Then something is wrong.

I agree with all the LT support. I'm just a little surprised Romo's name hasn't been mentioned when this award is being discussed.

LT opens up everything for the rest of the offense. He is the reason the Chargers can transition to a younger QB. He is both outstanding and valuable. I think he deserves it and Brees deserves consideration as well.
