If Romo plays well against Chicago in Chicago in front of a national audience this weekend, you gotta like his chances.

There's only one accomplishment I give a rats arse about and that's the Lombardi. He could be MVP every year but if he doesn't get a ring, he's nothing. Look at Manning, until he won the big one, many thought he was just a choker.

Hopefully he will be in the running for it but that is many games away.

Well week 3 is certainly too early to say...but a 119.3 QB rating will get him it assuming we make the playoffs.

This goes without saying.

Yeah, it's early - but its nice to have a Cowboy in the running. Been a while.

You could argue that Romo was in the running last year if we had gone farther in the playoffs IMO

We really need to get him signed. His price is going up after every game.

MVP will be a difficult goal. Manning and Brady are playing pretty lights out right now. Through the first two games, though, Romo is certainly looking pretty good and will certainly merit consideration if he keeps playing at this level all year.

True and you may have to throw Moss hat into the ring as well.

Yeah....I'm already having nightmares about his visit to Dallas on 10/14...I wouldn't mind sitting Newman until the Buffalo game, let him get some reps, and then stick him on Moss all game. If not...:(

It is a regular season award that is given out prior to the playoffs, so that would not have helped Romo. Wins against the Saints and the Eagles and in the close games against Washington and Detroit would have helped.

As good as that is, Brady's QB rating is currently 134.2 and he is completing 79.9% of his passes.

Brady and Manning are probably the favorites right now.

I made a $20 bet with my dad a month ago that Tony Romo would infact get more MVP votes than Tom Brady this year. Up to this point, they both have been very impressive.

But being a college student and needing the money, I need you to come through for me Tony.
:laugh2:
