Asterisks were finalists last year, FYI

For QBs I want to see how they treat Eli in his first year of eligibility.
For RBs, Fred Taylor versus 1st timer Marshawn Lynch (Taylor has better numbers but Lynch was so instrumental to those Seahawk Super Bowl teams)
For WRs, lots of "good" ones but any great ones?
For TEs I was surprised Gates didn't get in last year but maybe this year
For OLs I can't really say but Frederick just didn't have the longevity. Joe Staley?
For DLs Allen could have easily got in last year but he looks like the best of this bunch this year
For LBs this is Suggs' first year of eligibility
For DBs lots of good names but Harrison would be my pick
For kickers, it's Vinatieri's first year of eligibility. Shoe-in. Get it? Shoe? He's a kicker? Get it? Get it? Huh? Huh?
For Special Teams, if it ain't Hester then nah.

I quit caring about the HOF a few years ago. To me it seems the guys that are either part of the media today or were media darlings during their playing time get elected over others that deserve it more. So I would fully expect

Eli Manning
Willie McGinest
Tiki Barber
Tory Holt
Antonio Gates

To all be elected and only Gates is worthy out of that list.

No way is Romo or Fredericks getting in. Fredericks didn’t play long enough. Had he had a longer career and continued to play at a real high level he had a shot at the Hall of Fame.

 I put Tony Romo's chances of getting inducted per his football career at around 2%. That said, I do think his odds are increasing each year for getting inducted as a contributor via his broadcasting career. It should take some time before he gathers enough support from the Board of Selectors to gain entry into the Hall in that way.

Keeping Darren Woodson out, after this latest nomination, would be another criminal offense. Other Cowboys are deserving besides Travis Frederick and him but their names have been thrown into the official hat for 2025.

The Board should do the right thing. Put Woodson in the Hall.

Carrying him to what though?
Carrying some of the most putrid rosters I have seen with one of the worst head coaches ever to multiple playoffs appearances. I only wish Romo got the chance to play for a competent franchise because alot of his haters would be eating their words. Same with the haters we have now.
