I quit caring about the HOF a few years ago. To me it seems the guys that are either part of the media today or were media darlings during their playing time get elected over others that deserve it more. So I would fully expect

Eli Manning
Willie McGinest
Tiki Barber
Tory Holt
Antonio Gates

To all be elected and only Gates is worthy out of that list.
Tory Holt was a monster in his prime, I think he’s worthy as well. Numbers look good and I believe he has a few super bowls.

Eli Manning is an absolute.
I predict Woodson makes it this year.
Vinatieri is in along with Jared Allen and Antonio Gates.

Carrying him to what though?
To a 2-5 playoff record.....oh, scratch that. 2-4

Having said that, qbs like Marino and Kelly can make it without the Lombardi but a 2-4 playoff ain't gonna get it. Marino was 8-10 but at least he played in 18 playoff games without ever having a 1000 yard rusher behind him

Has to be a case by case thing

Carrying some of the most putrid rosters I have seen with one of the worst head coaches ever to multiple playoffs appearances. I only wish Romo got the chance to play for a competent franchise because alot of his haters would be eating their words. Same with the haters we have now.
......and the most atrocious offensive lines the Dallas Cowboys franchise has seen in the modern era

Fond memories of a dozen snaps over his head per year....good times

Eli’s record in the regular season is one game under .500, but his playoff record is gonna save him.

That's what I say all the time . His only great attribute was durability. He got a ton of mileage off of those legendary defenses saving his butt. He was able to stand upright for 14 years on a team who's defense rose to incredible heights for 2 seasons. Otherwise, his entire playoff career was one and done in every other season.

And hey making it to 18 playoff games I’ll give him his due. 6 games your whole career is abysmal.

Right. He just wasn't on a team with enough playoff success to back his stats. He also did not play long enough to compile the kind of stats that cause those Hall of Fame voters to overlook the playoff record.

It's sad to me that Eli will probably get in at some point while Romo doesn't, but as they say, "To the victor go the spoils."

I mean the hardware goes a long way. Getting two against Brady solidified him.

No way in hell Romo should get into the HOF. QB with the second worst playoff record ever.

Romo should get in for the mere fact of winning some playoff games while having Jerry Jones “We have Romo we don’t need an offensive line” drafting for him, and Jason “The only reason I have a coaching job is due to nepotism” Garrett coaching for him, for most of his career.

If Tiki Barber gets in I’m done with the HOF. Hell Zeke may have comparable numbers to his after this season. Zeke already has 20 more TDs. Is he a HOFer?

Also, Eli, and Tory Holt are worthy for their playoff success alone. Willie maybe as well.
