I can't help but think that the advantage in familiarity goes to the offense.

Romo should be pretty comfortable with the weaknesses of this defense.

That being said we've really struggled against the 3-4, we've struggled away, and likely we're going to have to put up points.

Expect a lot of 4-5 wides to get them out of that base defense. Rob Ryan has had this circled on his calendar all year, but hell he had the Eagles circled on the calendar too, and that didn't change anything. We have to come out extremely aggressive next week. We'll need Miles Austin back, and we'll need Ware back. No waiting til after the bye week.

None of that is going to matter if the oline plays like they did yesterday. They had better dial up plays that will beat the blitz because it's likely going to be coming all game.

Ryan knows Dallas' weaknesses and you know he has been scheming this game for months now.
His ego is way to big for him not to have been hyper-focused on this one.

Unfortunately, I see the advantage being his.

I realize that importance-wise, this one is only in the middle of the pack (road game vs NFC, non-division opponent...like Detroit).
But other than a week 17 win (if it was for the division) I'd like to win this one most of all.
Odds a way against us though.

Spread it out early and often. This team's achilles heel is when opposing defenses load the LOS and come after the QB (or RB to get to the QB). Make them pay for committing that much resource with a few well timed screens and short throws.

They aren't going to back off until you make them, and this year we have not made them.

That something they always say. But guess what? Dallas knows Ryan's weaknesses to. push

We know what we'll get from Ryan's D. Big blitzes and three-man rushes. Nobody rushes 4 less often than Ryan. I would imagine he'll blitz until we prove we can beat it. Of course, any DC that doesn't use that strategy against us should be fired on the spot.

Garrett could not find a weakness in a Defense even if he tried very hard. The man has never made a halftime adjustment on offense until Romo is allowed to play "Street Ball" in order to get us back in games. Ryan knows Opie is clueless and our only hope is that Callahan or Romo make proper adjustments. Callahan is starting to get on my bad side so hopefully he redeems himself by Muting anything Garrett has to say during the game which involves playcalling.

Ryans defenses tend to struggle with quick passes to the flats, covering TE in the middle of the field, and screens. We only do 1 out of the 3, and thats hitting Witten in the middle. I would like to think that Beasley/Harris are heavily involved this week.

In addition to the familiarity between the cowboys players and staff and rob ryan I think there is enough football on tape now for 2013 that both teams know what they like to do and what they dont like. I dont think there are going to be a lot of surprises. There will be opportunities for both teams and it will come down to not making mistakes and making the most of opportunities.
