When you watch a band at halftime and one person turns right and the rest go left, whose fault is it. All these WRs are not the problem. If it was just TO not getting the ball I could understand but Crayton, Austin, RW11 didn't get the ball either. Personally I think it's the design of the offense, the league has caught on to JG's offense and he doesn't know how to adjust the routes.

But Garrett said his offense worked like a well-oiled machine in TECMO BOWL.

When you have half a second to throw the ball, it doesn't matter WHAT route you run. When the OL plays well and gives Romo TIME, this route running BS will all go away.

Yep - the OL has been overrated, injuries or not, by many. They are simply not as good as advertised. They don't suck out loud, but they are FAR from the best in the league.

I know that we disagree about Flozell but the line overall.... well nothing more needs to be said.

The line played well against teams that just lined up an rushed them. When they stuggled is when teams like Pitts,Balt, and Philly that zone blitz and blitz from all over the field. The OL was confused on who to pick up. I would have to say they were not properly prepared. I say this because of the many time Romo and the wr have route discussions before the snap (coaching). Also how many time does our defense look confused on who to cover before the snap. This team just wasn't properly prepared to play some of these games.

personally I think its that the players dont practice hard, study film enough or ultimately care enough.....all of them should be held accountable, from the QB on down.

Yeah of course its Garrett who misses receivers on a regular basis. And the reason must be the game plan.

Corey Procter.

Proctor (and the general inability to find a quality backup OL) were certainly problems. However, late in the season other factors also contributed. I watched the Ravens game several times and it was clear to me that Witten was having problems with pass blocking because of his ankle injury. He was too good as a receiver not to have him out there, but he missed two key blocks on drive killing plays in the first half alone. I think that Tony's back robbed him of some mobility that made it more difficult to overcome the poor blocking.

I haven't had the heart to re-watch the Eagles game, so I don't know exactly what went wrong. To my untrained eye, it looked like McQ was doing better than Proctor, but it was way too little way too late. I have to wonder why he wasn't put in ahead of Proctor earlier in the season.

Indeed. It'd be nice if we could just say it was Procter and move on. But there were many more problems, Witten being one of them. I was constantly dismayed at their complete inability to pick up an inside blitzer. And teams just kept on sending them. I wouldn't be surprised to see that in those last few games, teams blitzed us 80+% of the time.

It worked so well in the Giants game. We did try to run one early in the Ravens game but they sniffed it out. But I don't see the reason to completely abandon it.

Especially so when Jim Johnson was blitzing on virtually every play and your o-line looked like a sieve.

I don't understand the problem, the Cowboys tried a screen pass a couple of times this year.

The Cowboys seem to have a hard time doing things that require teamwork.

There's been plenty of passes where Romo's had time and his passes have been off. There's been times when Romo moves to get away from the pressure, and makes a bad pass.

OR

Maybe it's a conspiracy started by Terrell Owens!! Yeah, he's brainwashed all the other receivers (including Jason Witten) to run routes so that they go the opposite way from where Romo's throwing the ball! YEAH! That explains what happened in Pittsburgh and against Philly! YEAAHH! That's it!!!
