Roger Staubach's incredible play in crunch time and his never say die leadership skills helped forge my commitment to the STAR. During his tenure I always felt like My team was always in it because we had a QB we could rely on to pull our butts out of the fire when one or all of the phases of the team, "offense, defense and special teams failed to contribute or let us down.

Yesterday, the Cowboys defense was torn apart by the new phenom in our division. Ryan and our decimated defense could find no answers for RG3.

None.

By the end of the second half you could see our team was dispondent on the side lines. But here comes Romo, rallying the guys on the sidelines and on the field. He made great plays with his feet to extend drives, put the ball in tight spots to allow his recievers to make plays. I know he through two interceptions but he took really good care of the ball and made it a game with great effort. I saw the team rally and fight and come back and have faith in their QB.

I probably am in the minority but I was really proud of the Cowboys yesterday. They turned a dibocal into a moral victory. They fought it out to the very end and NEVER gave up. Romo was almost captain comeback and it was GREAT to watch.

To all the cowboys bashers out there. We've had a brutal year with injuries, and the team won't quit. They quit on Wade in much better circumstances than yesterday.

I begin to see it.

Something special is brewing in Cowboyland.

Finally!

I completely agree. Too bad the same few posters will come in here and crap all over this.

Romo's interceptions were HORRIBLE... They lost the game because of dumb plays like that. Sorry no defending that.

The INT where Beasley fell over on the route is on Romo? That's...interesting. And we lost the game because the D let them score every possession.

If you pass 50+ times a game, you are going to miss on a couple of those each game. It's a matter of inches in the NFL and no QB can go without a bit of luck with dropped INTs or close calls.

Wait a minute-you're proud of a team who got way behind at home AGAIN, this time to a 4-6 team with the "Comeback" QB getting picked off twice in the first half??

I would rather the Cowboys prove that these comebacks are less a result of the other team letting up by actually being the team drilling the opposition in the first half.

End of the day they lost. At home. Again. No moral victories anymore, this team should be way beyond moral victories.

440 yards and 350 of it were against a Commanders D that was already passing yams around the secondary.

There was no comeback. The game was over at halftime.

The 1st INT should have been a flag on the Skins. Thats the ONLY reason why that ball was picked off.
The 2nd one was on Romo. He saw that Witten was double teamed but it broke off after the ball was thrown. Skins just made a good play.

That being said, Defense still has to stop the Skins from scoring off the turnovers & they didn't.

We didn't win. To be labeled Captain Comeback, i would assume that person would have to lead his team to alot of come from behind wins. We lost.

I don't see anything special brewing right now.. but that's just me. Hopefully you're right and im wrong. I see us on our way to another middle of the pack season and ending up with another middle of the pack draft pick and keeping the same coach for next season and watching another year of middle of the pack, sloppy, inconsistent play.

RG3 .. QB Rating of 132.6 .. 4 touchdowns

Hard to blame the offense for losing when an opposing quarterback has that kind of success against your defense.

The defense is going to have some bad games, the offense has to help pick them up, not turn it over 3 times when you are still in it.

It is not infrequent to see teams score bunches of points in the 2nd half of a game in which they are being blown out. Please explain why we had little or no offense in the 1st half when the game was decided.

No offense can overcome one that the D lets score every possession. That's a loss.

Romo was handed a 25 point deficit by the defense. All the while he's trying to bring the team back while large angry men are ALL OVER HIM and driving him into the turf. Yet he still has the intestinal fortitude to keep battling. Yes he made some mistakes but considering the pressure; a Thanksgiving game where you're losing your miserably to one of your oldest rivals at home. Despite all that Romo's play actually rallied the team.

You could feel the excitement and the faith building. Far from being a Cam Newton and giving up he helped make the team keep fighting and start believing in themselves.

They made it a game and brought us back to within a touchdown and gave us a chance to win all the way to the end.

I remember one play he got plastered into the ground and then the very next play came back and scrambled away and threw a touchdown pass.

That inspires your team and your fans. I think the D played better, partially because they could see that Romo and the offense weren't quitting. You gotta have that from your QB.

Yeah, I'm proud of him and of them.

Just because you keep saying it doesn't make it true, skins fan.

Convenient that you left out two first half picks by Romo that resulted in fourteen of those points.

Wrong. They didn't score on each of the turnovers.

The Cowboys generally start out slow, trying to establish the run and figure out what they can get from the D. I don't like this either. I remember Bill Walsh always had a scripted beginning that would allow His team to set the tone. This isn't on Romo. Our D has been decimated with injuries and unfortunately RG3 is very good and took advantage of the Commanders also unfortunately talented coaching. They scored seemingly easily on all their possessions in the first half. Quickly putting us in the hole.

But despite this Romo and the offense NEVER quit. In years past I saw the team quit. A horrific thing for a fan to witness.

Very happy not to see that yesterday.
