I was watching brady tinker on sports beat, and possibly big news, brady said that romo has like torn ligaments in his thumb besides his pinkie finger and he needs at least 2 weeks rest to get this well, so he can throw better etc.

maybe dc can put up the video, this was on thursday night,

If true, how do torn ligaments heal in 2 weeks. :bang2:

if its true, I wonder how long the torn ligament in the thumb has been an issue...I've thought for several weeks something was wrong with him, because the ball hasnt seemed to have the same zip or the same tight spiral he usually has

if its true, they should definitely shut him down and let it heel

Tony hurts his thumb more than any other player I have ever seen. I was sure that was what was wrong w/ him last year. I am beginning to think this is something that will show up throughout his career.

This is just specualtion! If he had torn ligaments in his thumb, he would have almost no shot of gripping the ball and Romo took snaps from center and threw the ball well, from reports.

Nobody else is reporting this, BTW.

What a load of BD - I'll take Romo's stats past 2 years against anyone. And now it was all done with torn ligamens in thumb?

The Romon Empire is being built.

He had plenty of zip on the throw to Witten to put Folk in position to tie last week.

What the heck are you talking about? They didn't say he has always had torn ligaments in his thumb.

I don't know if this is his injury but the most common torn ligament in the thumb is the medial collateral ligament (located on the inside of the thumb) and is commonly known as a gamekeeper's thumb. If only partially torn it should hopefully scar down a bit and not result in major instability and he can play through the season with it and get it addressed in the offseason. If it is totally torn, he may require surgery now and be on the shelf for a long time.

Same here, David... Romo has had by his standards three games in a row where he hasn't looked like himself. I don't think that's Jessica or any of the other off-field nonsense we read about -- I think it's more likely that he's been hurt.

I really hope we sit him down for a couple of weeks and let him get himself back together. At the very least, let Brad start and see how he does before you put Romo in.

that is it--park my QB!

I am a Johnson fan now!

I agree CC, even if Romo wants to play let him rest atleast until the Giants game or through the bye.

Brady tinker has worked in this area for years.

He probably has good sources.

Unfortunately for him he has a new job every year because he doesnt really do anything to hold an audience.
