Romo hype galore on ESPN today.

His Pro Bowl candidacy was one of the topics on Around The Horn. Romo was also the second point of discussion on PTI (Wilbon called him the "Golden Boy" of the NFL right now). And SportsCenter is teasing a "Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson?" story in its promo.

I have been away for a while but i hope all of you gave captain america grief for his insistance that we needed brady quinn and romo wouldnt be the answer like i tried to tell him time and time again.

i love being right

From a pauper to a Prince...overnight!

What a story he is....

Is there a chance of his Pro Bowl candidacy getting legs?

He's still not on the fan ballot. Even if the players and coaches put him first on their ballot, he still might not make it if they tabulate him as being 17th in the fan voting.

Given how bad the QB's are in the NFC i'd say he has a legit chance.

You got Brees down in New Orleans and then after him you have question marks.

If (thats a big if) he continues on the track he's on, I don't see how he could be ignored.

Exactly. If he continues on this track, and I believe he will, he will stomp right over another nominee (Drew Brees).

That would be too bad Adam.

At least he's made a few people sit up and take notice. ;)

Thank you Gentlemen for your response..

I'll settle for a playoff appearance and win(s) instead . . . . :D

I'll settle for for everything. ;) Nothing says he can't win a playoff game or two and make the pro-bowl. Why not?

I'm starting to worry about all the hype he's getting. It's getting pretty crazy.

Parcells is going to have to work overtime to try to keep this guy grounded and focused.

I don't think Romo will buy into all the hype. He seems level headed enough to understand, one bad game and the hype will turn.

Cant the coach just name him to the squad or something. They got Bates in, they can get Romo in.

He is definitely living a charmed life right now. Does he own a 5 leaf clover?

Actually I think the designated pro bowl H/C for the NFC can add any player on to his team that he wants--usually its somebody who was a runner up but also anybody who just played really well no matter the number of votes they got/didn't get.

Does anybody know who the H/C for the NFC team will be? Is it the H/C of the runner-up team who lost to the NFC SB representative?

If he continues playing like he has been... and I fully expect him to... then he honestly deserves to be in the pro bowl. He's a very good QB and he makes Dallas go from an average team to a definate playoff contender by himself.

Between his ability and his intangibles... he definately deserves it. They should add him to the fan ballot like pronto.

Yes... I think that is correct, although I'm not sure. But I think that's how Barry "I'll eat a hotdog on the sidelines of the pro bowl" Switzer, got to coach it.

I thought it was the 2 coaches who went to the Super Bowl?
