I'm glad for Romo and I don't think this attention will affect him. This is a benefit of being part of the Cowboys and have a charismatic personality.

That's the whole idea. A guy like Romo can bring Starter back to the front. That's the idea behind marketing. There was a time, not too long ago, that Adidas was completely off the map too.

As far as I know, not internationally, especially as it concerns soccer. Plus, adidas actually looks stylish.. Starter on the other hand has some butt ugly gear...

i'm saying i don't and i'm sure you don't want him to continue this A-rod thing he has going. he's the man in the regular season and than december comes around and he looks average or worse. now he's getting celeb status with the celeb girlfriends and the big money contracts and he hasn't accomplished anything yet. I'm sick of this team losing when we need a win the most and i don't think handing him all these goodies without winning anything of meaning is helping. basically this is just a frustrated cowboy fans rant.

I realize it seems like Romo is reaping before he supposedly accomplishes anything. But in my mind, Romo, has accomplished quite a bit in his career. He's getting all the money and fame that he didn't get when he first entered the league.

We hear all the time about how rookies come into the league making 30mil guaranteed and they haven't stepped on the field. Romo EARNED every dollar he's getting now after toiling in anonymity one step away from the practice squad every year for at least 3 years. I don't begrudge him his fame or money.

I understand the frustration of the playoff drought. But to direct it towards Romo who's only been the starter for 2 years is silly. What about the 9 other years? That's not on Romo.

He went from 3rd string nobody to starter and won 13 games last season, that's huge in itself. Just relax and enjoy the fact we are winning again, the Super Bowl will be here in no time...

Saw below item buried inside Calvin Watkins DMN article on Imus comments re Pacman Jones.

BTW: Considering what I've seen of Romo's off the field wardrobe to date, sure will be interesting to see what this new line of clothing will look like. Maybe TO can serve as Romo's advisor. Rest of team must be laughing since in the past they had difficulty just getting Romo to buy a new pair of sneakers. Ha.

Romo close to a deal: Quarterback Tony Romo is close to signing a five-year endorsement deal with Starter. Romo will have his own signature line of clothes and shoes.
Sports Business Journal reported the deal is worth $10 million.
“In our eyes, Tony is the most marketable guy in all of sports,” Romo’s marketing agent R.J. Gonser said. “He’s a mans-man and has a personality that everybody likes.”
Tara Levy, public relations manager for Iconix, which owns Starter, said no deal was in place.”

He is overrated as hell. Thats what he is. If there was a way to go back to the 2005 archives i was one of his biggest cheerleaders, but enough is enough. He had me fooled that he was Mr. Clutch with the wins in Buffalo and Detroit. When it mattered i thought it would happen again and it didn't. That is when i saw the light. So again..................Defense please be dominant!
