Romo on Sirius

----------------------

This interview was from earlier in the week. Great stuff from Romo about the relationships being built on this team and how close some of the guys are.

This kid deserves a Super Bowl win or two or three or four or five. He comes off as a hard worker who has a great feel for where he is in life right now.

Been a long time since I could say this, but I have absolutely no worries about the Cowboys QB spot right now and for the next six or seven years as long as Romo is taking the snaps from Center.

i agree DC but we do need a good backup too

One of two main considerations for the SB plausibility for the Dallas Cowboys.

Amen to that. In fact, I generally feel good about this roster up and down - this team is positioned to be a contender for at least the next 3 to 5 years.

In Romo we trust.

It's fine to say we need a good backup QB, but we can't pluck them off a tree or buy one at the grocery store. There's a dearth good starting QBs in the NFL today so it's not surprising that most backup QBs only want to play for a team where they realistically have a shot at starter. No way would any QB believe he's got a shot to start with Romo at QB. Heck, the Cowboys were able to sign Romo because he believed our QB situation was unstable and he'd have a chance; he sure was right.

Know many on this board want to cut Brad Johnson cause of his age/lack of arm strength & Gradkowski, then Culpepper, then Leftwich and so on. But out of those QBs/most other QBs mentioned, only Culpepper had the talent to play well/win. He's apparently still available but condition of his knee is questionable. Also don't know if he would agree to come to Dallas to back up Romo. If there are any good backup QBs, you better believe their team will hold on to them--just like the Falcons sure wish they hadn't traded Matt Shaub away.

I am still bummed we didn't find a way to keep Matt Moore last season.

That Terry Glenn roster spot pops into my head every time I think about losing Moore.
