Sure Romo threw 3 interceptions (one being a fluke) and felix fumbled the ball but we only lost on a game winning field goal by the new york giants who are considered to be a top 5 team. Sure im dissapointed about the loss but i do take pride in the fact that we only lost by 2 although losing the turnover battle 0-4.

I think if someone said were gonna have 4 turnovers and not force any still only lose the game by two points, we'd flame them like no other, expecting to lose by 10+.
yeah this is true... and G fans are saying sevral starters were out, the O kicked FGs instead of TDs and pulled out a win on the road...
and had a miss FG that would have made the last drive mute...

advantage Gs

Yea, and I'm not talking about a bus driver, water boy, who gets carried to a championship. I'm talking about the kind of guys we had in Staubach and Aikman who won multiple championships, won Super Bowl MVP's and played their best games in the biggest games. Is Romo that? We don't know yet. Time will tell. Early returns are not good.

i know i bashed him after sunday night. then i realized that we all make mistakes. he made some mistakes. its not like he isnt trying. its easy for us to criticize him but its not as easy as it looks from our couches. he does give us the best chance to win. win or lose i will always support this team 4 life. they are human and have familes too. i always have a bad day at work just like they did sunday night. lets get them panthers...

go cowboys!

 Thank you. I agree.

Everyone seems to forget Aikman's first couple years.

Casmith, I haven't forgotten. He wasn't 29 years old. He hadn't been on an NFL roster for 7 years. He was playing for a team that went 3-13 the year before and was about to go 1-15 and he was going to get the living daylights beaten out of him for a full year and 3/4. Tony Romo is not a rookie and he is not in his 2nd year which is why people are expecting more of him now.

Listen, he obviously has the ABILITY to do everything an NFL QB needs to do. He has to develop the steel. I hope he will.

Completely irrelevant.

Aikman was a rookie, Romo learned the game for 3 years.

Aikman came into a team with no talent besides Irvin, Romo came into a team loaded with talent.

Apples to oranges.

Marino never won a Super Bowl.
Kelly never won a Super Bowl.
Tarkenton never won a Super Bowl.
McNabb has never won a Super Bowl.

Championships do not determine greatness. Teams win championships.

Romo is a top 5 QB in the league (Brady/P. Manning/Brees/Rivers) because every week we have a chance to win.

In case everyone has forgotten the great Brady didn't do squat this week and they lucked out with a win the first week, they should be 0-2, I doubt folks are jumping off that bandwagon.

Please don't try logic with these folks... People think Romo is 24 years old or something. He's 29 and hasn't a clue as how to manage a football game.

I'm sorry, I don't believe that Romo is a top 5 QB right now.

And I know you probably won't agree, but I would take Aikman over all those guys you just listed. He was not just a part of a great team, he was a GREAT PLAYER on those great teams. A hall of famer.

Aikman's play, in games where Kelly turned the ball over, in games when Young turned the ball over, in games when Favre turned the ball over... when it wasn't this watered down version of NFL football but you had MAMMOTH teams battling each other, outshined them head to head. He was a major reason, not the only reason, but a major reason we beat those teams that had those QB's that everyone loves their stats.

Not every time. No one does every time. But he did it again and again in playoff games, NFC Championship games and Super Bowls.

You guys want to imagine that Romo shows that kind of leadership, good decision making, and the kinds of qualities that made Aikman the hall of famer that he was. Well, I'm sorry. Stats don't tell the story. He ISN'T that right now.

I want him to be. I GREATLY HOPE for him to be. I watch this team every single game, I'm going to the game this Monday, I WANT A SUPER BOWL WIN for our team again. And I'm rooting for Tony every step of the way. But to this point, I'm sorry, he has wilted in some big situations. Lets hope that changes THIS YEAR. I believe it can. I rooting for it to happen. But he won't be great by simply declaring him to be.

I'll criticize him, but he's my QB 'til he's NOT my QB and THAT decision is way outta my hands :)
