Statustically, it may not have been his most impressive performance but he was good today. Today he looked more like the Romo many of us have supported over the years. I'm glad because I was starting to see a hesitant, damaged-looking Romo over the past couple of weeks. I hope he keeps it up and that Miles recovers quickly.

Is it me or did we use less shotgun today? I don't recall worrying about the ball sailing over his head this game.

Romo looked confident and worry free. I hope it's a sign of things to come.

He threw the ball really well and made good decisions.

The one pass that he really missed is on our first RZ trip. I thought he had Miles for the TD but put it too far and wide but that was a difficult throw.

That was the best I saw the OL play all-year. Good run blocking and good pass blocking. They picked up the blitz well.

That was what had been worrying me the most about the Boys. Romo getting gun shy and becoming David Carr part deux. This game he was just about back to normal.

I noticed I wasn't screaming at Costa today because of the shotgun, so it must have not been used as much :laugh1:

Romo played really well. They showed him warming up without the 'body armor'. I think he may be getting over the injury.

Did you miss the poor throws in the 4th. He looked ok today nothing great.

you mean the one where Dez looked totally uninterested in catching the ball?

There is no doubt Dez has talent but he's far from being dependable. In fact if Austin was'nt made of glass, my two starters would be Austin/Robinson.

Too much is put on Romo's shoulders still in the passing game. Murray, Witten and Robinson are the only ones that seem to help the guy.

The thread title said "solid", not "great".

I was glad to see some downfield throws. Even if they don't hit it, which they did a time or two, or backs the defense off a little.

Is it possible that when the local village idiot is quoted that it doesn't show up on my screen? I have them on my blocked list???

Exactly. Romo looked more like himself today than I've seen prior to the injury during the 49ers game. I think he's only going to regain more confidence as the season goes on. Always gonna have those oh no Tony moments, but I hate seeing him play so tentatively, and he broke out of the shell some today. He actually tried to run for a first down twice. I haven't seen that all year.

Excellent point. One of his best games for me. I'm not a person who's caught up in huge passing numbers, I'm more impressed with the QBs ability to manage each possession and be accurate, make quick/solid decisions, know when to run, know when to throw it away.

Just awesome.

its basically how Troy Aikman looked for a decade on the way to multiple Super Bowls........

.....but the running game controlled the overall tempo, he hit the big passes when needed.......

This game, stat wise for Romo, was very Aikman'esque....as were Murrays running stats Emmitt'esque

I think that's a pretty fair comparison.

I wasn't gonna upload this as I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it, but it does show Romo warming up with no flak jacket. Guess he could have gotten a shot and put it on later, but I don't think so.

Michelle Beisner is at least easy enough on the eyes until that part.

I'm not big on Romo, but I thought he did a good job today. Heck, I can't completely blame him for last week either (the whole team stunked last week). keep it up.
