at least he's a bunch better than Koy Detmer. Man that guy is bad. I feel confident Romo could step in for a few games and run the team ok. If you're an Eagles fan could you feel the same about Detmer? For me, that puts the hysteria over the backup QB in some kind of perspective since the Eagles are still the team to beat in the NFC. Just my 2 cents.

You know he's just inconsistent, he made one horrible throw where Crayton was open and he threw it like 20 yards too far--maybe it was the wr that changed the pattern but he made a killer touch throw on a screen over a rushing guy to I think it was A-train that ws NFL. The amazing thing is that he went undrafted, he's at least as good as a 1/3 of the backup qbs hanging around the league. The thing that I wish the Cowboys would do overall is keep beating the bushes and get one new backup qb every year, you never know where you will find a gem but you have to keep looking. But overall this guy belongs in the backup world of the NFL he has some moxey, you can feel it when he lines them up, its a presence..

Eagles also have Mike McMahon.

Detmer knows the Eagle offense and runs it well.
He can't gun the ball in there - just control throws.
McMahon does not know the offense as well.
But carries a bigger gun.
