The first time around against the Giants wasn't too good, albeit Romo didn't get to prepare much for that one. The Washington loss was not his fault, but he was still at the helm when they lost it. I think it's imperative that Romo experiences his firt win against a division opponent. And this game at NYG is so important now that we have the division lead. Win and we're 2 games up. Lose it and we are tied, but swept by the Giants, so in essence we would be behind by a game. Wow. What a difference a victory would make.

You want to talk about statement games? This Sunday's game will say a whole lot about this Cowboys team. The Romo Train is going full steam. I honestly think that a win here will scare the daylights out of the rest of the division. The Boyz will officially be back and Romophobia will will be an epidemic throughout the East.

Good post !

The Bucs game was a test for me personally, I needed to see the Cowboys come out after a good win and follow that up with another good performance and win.

Cowboys fans haven't seen that too often in recent years.

But now the entire NFL is watching, we can make a huge statement to the entire NFL by beating our Division rival, on the road, in a meaningful December game.

An impressive win would show everyone that we are here for the duration.

I doubt Romo prepared all that differently. He preaches that as his hallmark, and I'm sure he did his homework the first time round. He did get too excited and force stuff, though. That has been less since then, and obviously their pass rush will be less as well. I'm hopeful, but a little scurred, too.

This game will determine whether Dallas is a decent or a very, very good team. I'm not completely sold yet.

I agree,but I'm beginning to believe.

Beating the Colts was all I needed to know about ROMO.....and his moxie!

The next two weeks are must wins and then every other game is a must win to make the tie breakers worth a dang.

Every game from here on out will be a statement game.

The Giants game is obvious. If they win that, then the Saints game takes on importance for playoff positioning. And the Falcons, Philly, and Lions games will all highlight how focused this team is. Can we take care of seemingly inferior opponents? Will there be any let down games? Can we end the regular season by winning those three games? etc etc.

Any loss from here on out will be a disappointment. We might well be favored in every ball game. So they're all statements -- but, yeah, with the Giants' game leading the way.

There will be people not sold until playoff time.

I pretty much agree with this post except that his first time around wasnt too good... I wont make excuses... but 2 of those 3 int's were just goofy.... the screen throw to defender... Julius was held... the tipped ball for INT... the last INT was on Crayton.... it was an INT the pro's throw...

anyways... just wanted to comment on that...

agreed he needs to get ANOTHER accomplishment under his belt and that comes in the form of a division win this week

And really, you can't blame them.

IF the Cowboys do beat the Giants, then New York will be looked at a reeling, .500 ball club. In other words, hardly an impressive, statement victory.

A loss, however, would destroy some the credibility the Cowboys have gained.

That's how it works in this league. You've got to stay hot or you become yesterday's news.

I've seen too many teams and too many quarterbacks look like world-beaters one game, only to show that it was an aberration. I'm betting this isn't an aberration, but I'm not sure yet.

And I'm not saying very, very good as in Superbowl bound. I'm saying very, very good as in the best in our division (and one of the best teams 4 in the NFC). Everyone's saying we are, but I'm not even sure about that now.

It does scare me that Romo might have a bad game, but he has answered every bell so far. Every time I think there's something he can't overcome, he overcomes it. You can't help but believe in a guy like that. I'm glad he's a Cowboy.

I guess he might have a bad game eventually... I just dont see him having a bad game completely.... I see him making bad plays and then overcoming them... in the SAME game
