I was looking on some NFL stat sites and I couldn't find many quarterbacks who have matched this feat. Does anybody else know the quarterbacks who have put up numbers like this? Im guessing less than 8? Either way, thought the post could be a nice reminder of just how well our boy is doing.:laugh2:

I think Tony going through women like Carrie, Sophia and now Jessica is more impressive actually.

The question regarding his "pace" is though....

If we have nothing to play for in Washington, is Romo benched?

Only 3 quarterbacks have had over 4000 yards and 40 TDs in a single season since 1970. I doubt any did it before then.

2004 - Peyton Manning
1999 - Kurt Warner
1986 - Dan Marino
1984 - Dan Marino

Brady might just join that list tomorrow. :laugh2:

Definitely by week 13, which just emphasizes how odd his season really is.

That's also the complete list of 40-TD seasons, period. 4000 yards is far more common. Romo's will be only the 6th 40-TD season (Brady's being the 5th).

It fell just short, but Daunte Culpepper's 2004 season was no less impressive:

39 TDs / 11 INTS
4,717 yds
69.2 comp %
110.9 QB rating

Moss made Culpepper what he was. He should be MVP this year over Brady. How many times does Brady just toss it up into double coverage and Moss has came down with it only to pad Bradys stats? Hell, one time he caught it with his elbow in double coverage in the end zone. Insane.

No way... Brady has been absolutely lights out.

Sure he has chucked it up and let Moss do his thing but what Brady is doing this season no other QB has ever done.

Brady his hands down the MVP this year. No contest.

Don't recall how many TDs Brady has thrown but assume he passes the 40 TD rate very shortly which makes him only the 4th QB to do so. Romo, with 33 TDs, could do it as early as our only remaining home game against the Eagles, which puts him in very exclusive company. All of this and many other records coming in only his first full season as the starter.

Of course it helps that he doesn't have a dominant RB like Emmitt Smith who would take up the slack and garner some of those TDs himself. Wouldn't be surprised as Aikman is watching the Cowboy games if he didn't have a twinge of envy at the plays Garrett is calling which allow Romo to shine so effectively.
